Diamond Laser Black PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Diamond Laser Black

Diamond Laser Black is a deep black with a fine metallic sparkle that catches the light as the car moves. In shade it reads as a clean, serious black. Out in the sun the laser flake wakes up and gives the panels real depth, so the color never looks flat or plastic. It is the kind of black that makes people walk around the car twice.

The difference here is that this is paint protection film, not vinyl. Diamond Laser Black changes the look of your car and shields the factory paint underneath at the same time. The 7.5mil (330um) TPU takes the rock chips, road grit, and wash swirls so your original paint stays sealed and clean. You get the color you want plus a genuine layer of armor in one film.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Diamond Laser Black PPF last on my car?

With normal care you can expect 7 to 10 years of service from this film, and it is backed by an 8-year warranty. The cashew topcoat and 7.5mil TPU are built to hold up to daily driving, sun, and weather, so the sparkle-black finish keeps looking sharp for years rather than months.

What is the difference between Diamond Laser Black PPF and a vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only decorates the surface. This is paint protection film, so it gives you the deep laser-black color and a real protective shield in the same product. At 7.5mil (330um) it is thicker and tougher than vinyl, it absorbs rock chips and wash swirls, and the topcoat heals light scratches. A vinyl wrap cannot do any of that.

Does this film really self-heal scratches?

Yes. The cashew topcoat is self-healing, so light swirl marks and fine scratches from washing or daily driving fade away with heat from the sun or warm water. This matters even more on a black finish, since swirls and marks tend to show up most on dark paint. The surface keeps that clean, even sparkle look.

Will the Diamond Laser Black color fade over time?

No. The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is what causes color to fade and dull. That UV block protects both the black pigment and the factory paint sealed underneath. The deep color and the metallic flake stay rich instead of going chalky or grey.

Can the film be removed cleanly later?

Yes. When you want a change, the film can be removed and it lifts away cleanly without stripping your factory paint. Because it has been shielding the original paint the whole time, the surface underneath comes out in great shape. That makes it a smart choice for leased and resale cars.

How much Diamond Laser Black film do I need for my car?

The film comes on a 1.52m wide roll in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A small job like a roof, hood, or mirror caps fits in a 3m or 6m roll. Most full cars land around the 15m length, with larger SUVs and trucks sometimes needing more. Measure your panels first, then pick the length that covers them with a little extra to work with.

Can I install this film myself at home?

Yes, many DIY installers do. This is a wet install film, so you spray the panel and the back of the film with slip solution, lay it down, and squeegee out the water and air. The wet method gives you time to slide it into position before it sets. Take your time on curves and edges. For a full car or tricky body lines, a pro install is worth it.

Will Diamond Laser Black look the same in every light?

It shifts a little, and that is the point. In shade and indoors it shows as a deep, clean black. In direct sun the laser flake sparkles and adds depth so the panels look alive. That changing character is what sets this finish apart from a plain flat black.
