Clear PPF is the invisible layer that keeps your factory paint looking new. It goes on totally see-through, so the color you already love stays exactly the same. What changes is the gloss. The clear cashew topcoat adds a deep wet shine and a slick surface that water and dirt struggle to grip. Rock chips, sand, bug splatter, and light scratches hit the film instead of your paint.

This is real protection, not a sticker. At 7.5mil (330um) thick with three TPU layers, it takes the daily abuse a road throws at your car. The topcoat is self-healing, so swirl marks and fine scratches vanish with a little heat from the sun or warm water. Your paint stays sealed, glossy, and ready to show years down the line.

How long does clear PPF last on a car?

This clear film is backed by an 8-year warranty. Because it blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, it shields your paint from the sun fade that ages an unprotected car much faster. Keep it clean and it holds its gloss for years.
What is the difference between clear PPF and a vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only sits on top and decorates. It does not stop rock chips. Clear PPF is a 7.5mil TPU film built to take impacts, so it both adds gloss and protects the paint underneath. With clear film you keep your original color and just gain a tougher, shinier finish.
Does clear PPF really self-heal?

Yes. The cashew topcoat is self-healing. Fine swirls and light scratches close up on their own once the surface warms, whether from the sun or a bucket of warm water. The film keeps looking smooth and clear instead of collecting micro-scratches like bare paint does.
Will clear PPF turn yellow over time?

No. This is TPU film with a UV-stable topcoat that blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV. Old cheap films yellowed, but this stays clear and bright across the life of the film. Your paint shows through exactly as it should, year after year.
Does clear PPF remove cleanly later?

Yes. When you are ready to take it off, the film lifts away without tearing up your paint. That is the whole point of protection film. The original finish underneath stays sealed and shaded from UV the whole time it is on.
How much clear film do I need for my car?

The film comes on a 1.52m wide roll in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A front-end kit (bumper, hood edge, mirrors) usually fits in a shorter roll, while a full-car job needs the longer lengths. Measure the panels you want to cover, then add a little extra for trimming.
Can I install clear PPF myself?

Yes, with patience. This is a wet install, so you spray the panel and film with slip solution and slide it into place before squeegeeing the water out. Clear film is forgiving because there is no color seam to line up. Start with a flat panel, take your time, and follow our how-to-wrap guide.
Will clear PPF change how my paint looks?
