Liquid Silver Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl

Matte Liquid Silver / 1.52*6m(5*20ft)

Liquid Silver lays down a cool, flat sheet of metallic-leaning grey with zero shine. It reads like brushed metal that has been sanded smooth, soft in bright sun and moody under cloud, never glossy. This is the silver for people who want their car to look expensive and quiet at the same time, not flashy.

It is a real color change you can do at home, and the film does double duty. While it gives the body that flat stealth finish, it also wraps over your factory paint and takes the daily hits of road grit, light scratches, and sun so the panel underneath stays clean. Peel it later and the original paint is still there.

Key features

  • Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
  • Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a Liquid Silver matte wrap last?

With good care it holds its flat silver look for years. The biggest factor is where the car lives. A garage-kept car keeps the matte finish even and clean far longer than one parked in full sun and weather every day. Hand washing instead of brush washes also adds a lot of life.

Will this wrap damage or protect my paint?

It protects it. The film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the daily road grit, light scratches, and UV instead of the panel underneath. When you remove it, the original paint is still there in the condition it was sealed in. Just make sure the paint is sound before wrapping, since vinyl will not stick well to flaking or already failing paint.

How is this different from a matte silver paint job?

A matte respray in this kind of silver is one of the priciest paint options out there, and matte paint is notoriously hard to touch up if it gets scratched. Liquid Silver vinyl gives you the same flat stealth look for far less, it goes on faster, it shields the paint you already paid for, and you can peel it off later and go back to stock. A respray is permanent and a wrap is reversible.

How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?

This is the one thing every matte owner needs to get right. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff Liquid Silver. Those add shine and leave glossy patches that ruin the flat look. Hand wash only with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush washes, and rinse off bird mess and fuel splashes quickly before they sit. Treat it gentle and the finish stays even.

Can I install this myself?

Yes. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so trapped air pushes out through tiny channels as you squeegee instead of leaving bubbles. That makes it much more forgiving for a first-timer. You can install it dry or wet. Flat panels like doors and the roof are very doable at home. Deep curves and recesses take patience and a little heat from a heat gun.

Does Liquid Silver remove cleanly later?

It does, on healthy factory paint. Warm the film gently and peel it back at a low angle, and it lifts away clean. Any light adhesive left behind wipes off with adhesive remover. Because the wrap protected the paint the whole time, what you uncover is your original finish.

Will it stay flat or go shiny over time?

It stays flat as long as you care for it the matte way. Shine only shows up when a matte wrap gets waxed, polished, buffed, or scrubbed hard in one spot. Avoid all of that, stick to gentle hand washing, and Liquid Silver keeps its even non-reflective look across the whole car.

How much film do I need for my car?

The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or hatch usually needs around 15m, a sedan around 18m, and a large SUV or truck closer to 23m. Bumpers, mirrors, and tight curves eat extra film, so add a few meters of buffer. When you are between sizes, size up.
