Heavy Metallic Purple Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
$190.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Purple

Heavy Metallic Purple lands somewhere between a dark royal violet and a smoky plum, with fine metallic flake worked into a flat, non-reflective matte face. There is no shine bouncing back at you. Instead the color shifts quietly as the light moves over the panels, deep and moody in shade, alive with a soft purple shimmer in the sun. It reads stealthy and serious from across the lot, then shows its metallic character up close.

This is a color change wrap, not a coating you spray on. The polymeric vinyl lays down over your existing panels and takes the daily hits for you. Light scuffs, road grime, sun and weather meet the film instead of your factory paint. When you want a different look later, the wrap comes off and the paint underneath is still the paint you started with.

Key features

  • Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
  • Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a Heavy Metallic Purple matte wrap last?

With good care it holds its deep flat purple look for years. The biggest factor is where the car lives. A garage-kept car stays out of constant sun and weather, so the color and the matte flake stay strong longer. A car parked outside all day in harsh sun ages faster. Hand washing and quick cleanup of any fuel or bird mess also stretch its life.

Will the wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?

It protects it. The film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the daily wear for you. Sun, road grime, light scuffs and washing all hit the Heavy Metallic Purple vinyl instead of the paint underneath. As long as your factory paint is healthy and well stuck when you wrap, it comes back out from under the film in the same shape it went in.

How is this different from a matte purple paint job?

A matte respray in this kind of color is one of the priciest jobs at a body shop, and flat paint is notoriously hard to repair without it showing. A wrap costs far less, goes on much faster, and you can peel it off when you want a change. You also keep your original paint protected the whole time, which a respray cannot give you.

How do I wash and care for a matte wrap? Can I wax it?

Never wax, polish or machine-buff a matte wrap. Those are made for gloss and they will leave shiny spots that ruin the flat Heavy Metallic Purple finish. Hand wash only, with a soap made for matte film. Skip automatic brush car washes. If you get fuel splash or bird mess on it, wipe it off quickly so it does not stain or eat into the surface.

Can I install it myself?

Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel air-release adhesive has channels built in that let trapped air escape, so you fight far fewer bubbles than with old vinyl. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat panels are friendly for a first timer. Deep curves, mirrors and bumpers take patience and heat, so take your time or split those areas with a pro.

Does it come off cleanly later?

On healthy factory paint it does. Warm the Heavy Metallic Purple film with a heat source and peel it back slow and steady at a low angle. Any light adhesive left behind wipes away with a proper adhesive remover. That clean removal is the whole point of a wrap. You restyle whenever you like and the paint stays untouched.

Will it stay flat or go shiny over time?

Cared for the right way it stays flat. The thing that turns a matte wrap shiny is wax, polish or buffing, so just leave all of those off it. Stick to a hand wash with matte-safe soap and the Heavy Metallic Purple keeps its even, non-reflective face. Buffing one spot is what creates those glossy patches people worry about.

How much film do I need for my car?

The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, parts and small panels suit the 6m roll, a full compact or sedan usually needs around the 18m roll, and a larger car, SUV or truck is safer on the 23m roll. Order a little extra for mistakes, wrapped edges and any panels you want to redo.
