Orites Grey Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
$190.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Orites Grey

Orites Grey lands in that cool, stony middle ground between silver and charcoal, and the matte finish takes all the shine out of it. There is no gloss, no sparkle, just a flat grey skin that reads tough and clean from every angle. In daylight it looks like raw stone, and under streetlights it stays calm and dark instead of throwing back glare.

This is a color wrap, not a clear film. It lays a fresh matte grey over your existing paint and seals the factory finish underneath from daily grit, light scuffs, and sun. When you want a change later, it comes off and your original paint is still there.

Key features

  • Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
  • Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an Orites Grey matte wrap last?

With good care it holds its flat grey look for years. The film handles heat from -30 up to +140 C, so it takes summer sun and cold winters without cracking. A car that sleeps in a garage will keep its matte finish longer than one parked outside in full sun all day. Wash it gently and skip the harsh stuff and it stays sharp.

Will the wrap damage my paint, or does it protect it?

It protects it. The Orites Grey film sits on top of your factory paint with a gentle air-release adhesive and takes the daily wear instead of the paint. Bird mess, road grime, light scuffs, and UV all land on the vinyl, not your clear coat. On healthy factory paint it removes cleanly and leaves the original finish behind.

Should I wrap in Orites Grey or just respray the car this color?

A wrap is cheaper, faster, and reversible. Matte paint jobs are some of the most expensive to spray and the hardest to fix, since one bad panel repair can leave a shiny patch you cannot blend out. Orites Grey vinyl gives you the same flat stealth look for less, protects the paint you already paid for, and peels off when you want to sell or change.

How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?

This is the big one for matte. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff Orites Grey, because any of those will rub shiny spots into the flat finish and ruin the look. Hand wash only with a matte-safe car soap, use two buckets and a soft mitt, and dry with a clean microfibre. Skip automatic brush car washes. If fuel splashes or bird mess lands on it, wipe it off quickly so it does not stain or dull the surface.

Can I install Orites Grey myself?

Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped bubbles push out to the edge with a squeegee instead of leaving lumps. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat panels like doors and a roof are very doable at home. Deep curves and bumpers take more practice, so start on a small panel to get your feel before the big stuff.

Does Orites Grey peel off cleanly when I am done?

It does. Warm the film with a heat gun or in mild sun, lift a corner, and pull it back slowly at a low angle. On sound factory paint the adhesive releases without tearing your clear coat. Going slow and keeping a little heat on stubborn sections is the whole trick to a clean removal.

Will it stay flat matte or go shiny over time?

It stays matte as long as you treat it right. The shine that scares matte owners almost always comes from waxing, polishing, or hard rubbing, not from age. Keep wax and buffers away from the surface, hand wash it, and Orites Grey holds its even flat grey finish.

How much film do I need for my car?

The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. A bike, a few accent panels, or a roof and mirrors usually fit in the 6m roll. A full small to mid car typically lands around the 18m roll, and a larger car, SUV, or truck is safer on the 23m roll so you have extra for trimming and overlap. When in doubt, size up, since running short mid job is the worst place to be.
