Flat Silver Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
$190.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Silver

Flat Silver trades the mirror shine of a polished car for a soft, dialed down metallic that looks more like raw machined metal than chrome. It sits quiet in bright sun and turns moody and gunmetal leaning under cloud, so the body lines read clean without a single hot reflection bouncing back at you. It is the silver for people who want presence without the bling.

This is a flat matte color wrap, not a clear film. The polymeric vinyl lays a fresh non-reflective skin over your panels and takes the daily hits of road grime, light scratches, sun and wash swirl in place of your factory paint. Peel it off down the road and the original silver or whatever shade is underneath comes back clean.

Key features

  • Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
  • Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Flat Silver matte wrap last?

With good care it holds its flat silver look for years. The big variable is sun and weather. A car kept in a garage or under cover keeps that even matte tone far longer than one parked outside in full sun every day. Wash it gently and skip anything that adds shine and it stays looking right.

Will the wrap damage my factory paint?

No. The opposite, really. The Flat Silver vinyl sits on top of your paint and takes the road grime, light scratches and sun in its place. As long as your factory paint is healthy and fully cured when it goes on, the wrap protects it. When you remove the film later the paint underneath comes back clean.

How is this different from a matte silver paint job?

A matte respray is expensive, permanent, and notoriously hard to repair since you cannot buff a scratch out of matte paint without leaving a shiny patch. Flat Silver vinyl costs far less, goes on faster, and peels off when you want a change. You also keep your original paint protected underneath the whole time, which helps resale.

How do I wash and care for a Flat Silver matte wrap?

This is the one thing to get right. Never wax, polish or machine-buff the wrap. Those all add gloss and will leave shiny smears on the matte silver that you cannot undo. Hand wash with a matte-safe soap, rinse well and pat dry. Skip automatic brush car washes. If you get fuel splash, bird mess or bug splatter, clean it off quickly so it does not stain or eat into the finish.

Can I install Flat Silver myself?

Yes, plenty of people do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive with air-release channels, so you can reposition it as you lay it and push trapped air out to the edges instead of fighting bubbles. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat panels like a roof, hood or doors are very DIY-friendly. Deep curves and bumpers take more heat and patience, so go slow your first time.

Does it stay flat or eventually go shiny?

It stays flat as long as you treat it like matte. The finish only goes shiny if you wax it, polish it, run it through a brush wash, or rub one spot too hard. Keep to a gentle hand wash and matte-safe products and the Flat Silver reads evenly non-reflective across the whole car.

Does Flat Silver remove cleanly later?

Yes. When you are ready for a change, warm the vinyl with a heat source and peel it back slowly at a low angle. On healthy, fully cured factory paint it lifts away without harming the surface. Any light adhesive left behind wipes off with adhesive remover.

How much film do I need for my car?

Our rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. The 6m suits accents like a roof, hood, mirrors or a trunk lid. A full small car or sedan usually lands around the 18m roll, and large SUVs, trucks or vans are safer on 23m. Always add a little extra for mistakes, curves and learning, especially on a first wrap.
