Blackish Green Metallic Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl

Blackish Green sits right on the line between deep green and black, and the fine metal flake in the color layer is what makes it move. Park it in the shade and it reads almost black with a quiet green undertone. Pull it into direct sun and the flake lights up, so the panel opens into a rich forest green with tiny sparkle running across every curve. It is a moody, expensive looking finish that changes as you walk around the car.
This is a color change wrap, not a coating. The gloss film lays over your factory paint and takes the daily hits instead, so road grime, light scuffs, and sun all land on the vinyl rather than the paint underneath. When you are ready for a new look it peels off and gives you back the original finish you started with.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on Blackish Green?
The flake is mixed into the color layer, so it catches light and throws it back. In low light the panel looks deep green-black and calm. Under direct sun the flake sparkles and the green reads brighter and richer. That shift between shade and sun is the whole point of a metallic finish, and it is why the same car looks different from one angle to the next.
Does the surface feel rough or textured?
No. The flake sits inside the color layer, not on top, so the face of the film is smooth and glossy to the touch. You see the sparkle, you do not feel it. Running your hand over a wrapped panel feels just like a smooth painted surface.
Will wrapping hurt my paint, or does it help it?
Applied to sound factory paint, this wrap protects what is underneath. The vinyl takes the daily wear, light scratches, and UV instead of your clear coat. When removed correctly it lifts away and leaves the original paint as it was. The thing to avoid is wrapping over paint that is already chipping or peeling, since the film can pull at loose edges on the way off.
How is this different from a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic flake respray is one of the priciest paint jobs you can order, it ties the car up for days, and a single scratch is hard to blend back in. This wrap gives you a similar deep green-black metallic look for far less, goes on much faster, and protects the paint you already paid for. If you change your mind, you peel it. A respray is permanent.
How do I wash and care for a Blackish Green metallic wrap?
Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH neutral car soap, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes. Touchless or careful hand washing is best. Get bug splatter, sap, and bird droppings off quickly so they do not sit on the gloss. Kept out of constant sun and washed gently, a wrap like this holds its shine for years, and a garage-kept car keeps it looking sharp even longer.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the channels let trapped air escape and help you reposition the film while you work instead of fighting instant tack. You can run a dry install or a wet install depending on the panel and your comfort level. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Deep recesses and mirrors take more patience and heat, so plan for those last.
Does it come off cleanly later?
On healthy factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a heat gun and pull it back slowly at a low angle so it lifts in sheets. Any light adhesive left behind comes off with a proper adhesive remover. Working in sections and keeping the film warm makes removal much cleaner than yanking it cold.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on the size of the vehicle and how much you are covering. The film comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or a partial job such as a roof, hood, and mirrors can work from the shorter roll, while a full wrap on a sedan or larger vehicle usually needs the longer length, plus a little extra for mistakes and tricky curves. When in doubt, size up so you are not left short mid panel.
