Grey Liquid Metal is the kind of finish that makes people slow down and look twice. In open shade it reads as a deep, clean silver-grey with a soft sheen. Roll into direct sun and the fine metal flake lights up, throwing a bright mirror-like glow that runs along every body line. It is the rich, almost-reflective look of a true metallic, without a trip to the spray booth.
Wrapped over your existing paint, this film does double duty. You get a fresh high-shine grey that turns heads, and a layer that takes the daily hits from road grit, light scuffs, and sun so the factory finish underneath stays protected. When you want a change later, it comes off and your original paint is still there.

Key features
- Liquid-metal shine: a high-shine metallic surface that reads almost reflective, throwing a bright mirror-like glow in the sun and catching light at night.
- Deep flake color: fine metal flake under the topcoat gives the color real depth, so it never looks flat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out for a clean, flat lay you can reposition.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do on this grey?
The color layer has fine metal flake mixed right into it. Those tiny particles catch and bounce light, so the grey never looks flat. In shade it stays a deep clean silver-grey, and in direct sun the flake sparks up into that bright mirror-like glow. It is what separates a real Liquid Metal finish from a plain solid grey.
Does the surface feel rough or is it smooth?
It is smooth. The metal flake sits inside the color layer, not on top, so the face of the film is flat and even to the touch. You get the sparkle in the light without any grain or texture under your hand. It washes and wipes down just like a smooth painted panel.
Will wrapping hurt my paint, or does it help?
It helps. This Grey Liquid Metal film lays over your factory paint and acts as a shield against road grit, light scuffs, washing swirls, and sun. The paint underneath stays sealed and protected. It is a cosmetic color wrap, so it is not everyday scratches and road film, but for everyday wear it keeps your original finish in better shape than bare paint.
How is this different from a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes your car off the road for days, and is hard to match or repair if it gets damaged. This wrap gives you a similar bright metallic grey for far less, goes on faster, protects the paint you already have, and peels off clean when you want a change. A respray is permanent. This is not.
How do I wash and care for a Grey Liquid Metal wrap?
Treat it gently and it will reward you. Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH-neutral car shampoo, rinse well, and pat or blow dry to avoid water spots on the shiny finish. Skip harsh brushes and automatic tunnel washes. A wrap that lives in a garage out of constant sun will hold its glow for years longer than one parked outside all day.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the channels in the glue let trapped air escape and help you reposition as you go instead of fighting bubbles. You can run it dry or wet. Take your time on curves, use heat to set it, and Grey Liquid Metal goes down clean. Panels like roofs and hoods are a great first project.
Does it remove cleanly later?
It does, when removed properly. Warm the film with gentle heat and pull it back slowly at a low angle and it lifts away in sheets. Because it has been protecting the paint the whole time, your factory grey or whatever color is underneath is still there. That is the big advantage of a wrap over a permanent respray.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on the vehicle size and how much you are covering. As a rough guide, a compact car needs around 50 to 55 feet for a full wrap, a sedan around 60 to 65 feet, and a large SUV or truck more. This Grey Liquid Metal comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths, so order a little extra for mistakes and complex curves rather than running short mid-job.
