Metallic Light Grey Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Metallic Light Grey lands right between stealth and shine. The base is a soft flat light grey with no gloss to bounce back at you, so the body reads calm and modern in any light. Look closer and a fine metallic flake catches the sun, giving the panels a subtle depth that a plain flat grey just cannot do. It is the kind of grey that makes a daily driver look factory-deleted and expensive at the same time.
This is a color wrap, not just a look. The polymeric vinyl lays a full sealed layer over your factory paint, taking the daily hits from road grime, light scuffs, sun and washing instead of the clear coat underneath. When you are ready for a change it peels back off and your original paint is still there, untouched.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long will a Metallic Light Grey matte wrap last?
With normal care it holds its flat metallic look for years. The biggest factor is where the car lives. A garage-kept car stays out of constant sun and rain, so the wrap ages slower. A car parked outside all day every day will see the finish work harder. Hand washing and quick cleanups go a long way toward keeping this grey looking fresh.
Will wrapping protect my paint or damage it?
It protects it. The Metallic Light Grey film sits over your factory paint as a sealed layer and takes the daily wear, light scratches, grime and sun instead of the clear coat. Your original paint stays sealed underneath. As long as the paint is healthy and well stuck when it goes on, the wrap shields it rather than harming it.
Matte wrap or a matte respray, which makes sense?
A matte respray is one of the most expensive paint jobs you can get, and matte paint is a nightmare to fix because you cannot just polish out a scratch. This Metallic Light Grey wrap gives you the same flat metallic look for far less, it goes on in days not weeks, it does not touch your real paint, and you can peel it off later. For most people the wrap is the smarter call.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?
This is the one thing to get right. Never wax, polish or machine-buff a matte wrap. Those all add shine and will leave glossy patches in the flat finish that you cannot undo. Hand wash only with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush car washes, and wipe off fuel splashes, bird mess and bug splatter quickly before they sit. Treat the Metallic Light Grey gently and it stays evenly flat.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel air-release adhesive with channels in the glue that let trapped air escape, so you get far fewer bubbles than with a basic vinyl. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat and gently curved panels like doors, the roof and the hood are very doable at home. Take your time with heat around deep curves and mirrors and the Metallic Light Grey goes on clean.
Does it remove cleanly later?
When you want it gone, warm the film with a heat gun and pull it back slowly at a low angle. On healthy factory paint it lifts off without taking the paint with it. Any light adhesive left behind wipes away with adhesive remover. That clean removal is what makes this grey easy to live with and easy to change down the road.
Will it stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat as long as you care for it the matte way. The shine problem only shows up when a matte wrap gets waxed, polished or scrubbed hard with the wrong products, which presses the texture into a gloss. Keep wax and polish away from the Metallic Light Grey, hand wash it gently, and the even flat metallic finish holds.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. As a rough guide a small car or full panel set needs around 15m, a sedan lands near 18m, and a large SUV or truck can run toward 23m. Buy a little extra Metallic Light Grey for mistakes and for wrapping around edges, mirrors and door handles.
