Flowing Phantom Color-Shift Car Wrap | Chameleon Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Flowing Phantom moves like smoke over your panels. Walk around the car and the color rolls from one shade into the next, dark and liquid one second, lit with a new tone the next. There is no single flat color to point at. The shift lives in the light, so the look changes with the sun, the streetlights, and the angle you stand at.
This is a color-changing vinyl wrap, so the whole effect lays right over your factory paint. It gives you that shifting chameleon finish and adds a layer that takes the daily hits of grit, wash swirl, and weather instead of your clear coat. When you want your old color back, the wrap comes off and the paint underneath is still there.

Key features
- Color shifts as you move: layered pigment flips the shade with the viewing angle and the light, so the car looks alive in motion and never the same in two photos.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Flowing Phantom color-shift effect actually work?
The chameleon pigment in the face film bends light differently depending on the angle you view it from and the light hitting it. As you move around the car, or as the car moves through changing light, the reflected color flows from one tone into another. Nothing electronic and no coating to activate. The flip is built into the film, so it works in sunlight, shade, and under street lighting.
What colors does Flowing Phantom show?
It reads as a deep, moody chameleon. Depending on the light and your viewing angle it drifts through dark shifting tones with a liquid, smoke-like flow across the panels. Direct sun pulls the brighter side of the shift forward, while shade and low light keep it darker and more dramatic. Because it is angle based, no two photos look quite the same, which is the whole point of the finish.
Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The vinyl lays over your factory paint and takes the daily wear that would otherwise hit your clear coat, like wash swirl, road grit, and sun. The adhesive is made to come back off clean when you want a change. On factory paint in good shape it shields the surface while it is on, then removes without taking your paint with it.
How is a color-shift wrap different from a custom color-flip paint job?
A real multi-tone flip paint job is one of the most expensive and time-consuming finishes you can buy, and it is permanent and hard to repair if it chips. This wrap gives you a shifting chameleon look for far less, goes on in a fraction of the time, and protects the paint you already have. If you want to sell the car or change the look later, you peel it instead of repainting.
Can I install Flowing Phantom myself?
Yes. The film uses an air-release adhesive with channels in the glue layer, so trapped air pushes out to the edges instead of leaving bubbles. That makes it far more forgiving for a careful DIY install. It supports both dry and wet application. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Deep curves, bumpers, and mirrors take patience and heat, so go slow and work in sections.
How do I wash and care for this wrap?
Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH neutral car shampoo, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber. Keep it clear of harsh solvents and aggressive degreasers. Wipe off bird droppings, fuel, and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the film. Like any color-shift finish it looks its best out of constant sun, so a garage-kept wrap will hold that flip longer.
Does Flowing Phantom remove cleanly when I want it off?
On healthy factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a little heat and pull it back at a low, steady angle so it lifts in sheets rather than tearing. Any light adhesive left behind comes off with adhesive remover and a microfiber. That clean removal is the big advantage over paint, since you can return the car to its original color whenever you want.
How much film do I need for my car?
The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers most panels in single passes. As a rough starting point a small hatch or coupe usually needs around 15m, a midsize sedan around 18m, and a larger SUV or truck more again. Add extra for deep curves, mirrors, and learning room if this is your first wrap. Measure your own panels before ordering, and round up rather than coming up short.
