Purple/Green Chameleon Headlight Tint Film | Color-Shift Headlight Wrap
$11.00 USD
0.3*10m (1*33ft) / Orange

Plain smoked tint blends in. This Purple/Green Chameleon Headlight Tint Film shifts from deep violet to electric green depending on your viewing angle and the light around you, so your headlights look different every time someone walks past your car. It is built from a multi-layer color-shift PVC vinyl with a UV resistant, rock chip resistant face film and a high-gloss surface that holds its depth over time.

The air-release adhesive lets you slide and reposition the film during install without trapping bubbles, and when you are ready to remove it, it lifts cleanly and leaves no residue behind. No experience required.

Installing your tint film

New to applying tint film? Our guide on how to install tint film covers the wet-stick slip-and-squeegee method step by step. Most headlight tints can be applied in under 20 minutes without professional tools.

Frequently asked questions

What colors does this film actually shift between?

At a straight-on view under bright light the film reads as a vivid green. As you move to a wider angle or view it under lower ambient light it shifts toward a deep purple. The transition is gradual, not a hard switch, so the look is constantly moving.

Will this chameleon tint reduce how bright my headlights look to other drivers?

Any tint film placed over a headlight lens will reduce the amount of light that passes through to some degree. This film does add a visible color cast and some light reduction. Always check your local road laws before driving with tinted headlights.

Is there a specific VLT (visible light transmittance) percentage for this film?

We do not publish a confirmed VLT figure for this film. If you need an exact transmittance number for compliance purposes, check your local regulations and contact us before ordering.

How do I install it without getting bubbles or misalignment?

Clean the headlight lens thoroughly and make sure it is dry. Peel the backing and lay the film loosely over the lens before pressing it down. The air-release adhesive lets you slide the film into position and lift and re-place it multiple times before committing. Work from the center outward with a soft squeegee to push out any remaining air.

Can I remove the film without damaging my headlights?

Yes. The adhesive is designed to lift cleanly. Warm the film gently with a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive, then peel from one corner at a low angle. The lens should be residue-free. Avoid pulling at a sharp angle or without heat as that can make removal harder.

How long does this headlight tint film last?

Longevity depends on climate, UV exposure, and how well the surface was prepped before install. We do not state a fixed lifespan in years for this vinyl headlight tint. Proper prep and a clean install surface will give you the best durability.

Does the color-shift effect look different at night when the headlights are on?

Yes, and that is part of the appeal. When the headlights are off the film shows its full chameleon shift between purple and green in reflected light. When the lights are on, the illumination shines through and creates a backlit glow that reads differently than the daytime appearance.

Is this film hard to install if I have never tinted headlights before?

This film is designed for all skill levels. The repositionable air-release adhesive is forgiving during install, so beginners have time to adjust the position before fully pressing the film down. Take your time on the prep, keep the surface clean, and follow the center-out squeegee method and you should get a clean result on your first attempt.
