Coal Grey PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*49.2ft) / Coal Grey

Coal Grey PPF delivers a clean, high-gloss color with real depth that catches the light cleanly. It gives factory paint the kind of finish that turns heads in a parking lot, without the plasticky look of cheap film.

The color here does two jobs at once. This is color paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the color also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the color you want, and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Coal Grey PPF last on my car?

It carries an 8-year warranty, so you are covered for the long haul. The cashew topcoat and TPU base are built to hold the charcoal look and the protection across that whole window instead of breaking down after a couple of seasons. With basic washing and care it keeps doing its job day after day.

What is the difference between Coal Grey PPF and a vinyl wrap?

A vinyl wrap only changes the color. It sits thin on the surface and does nothing to stop chips or scratches. Coal Grey is paint protection film, so it gives you the deep charcoal finish and a 7.5mil (330um) TPU shield that absorbs rock chips and road debris before they reach your factory paint. You get the new look plus real protection in one film.

Does Coal Grey PPF really self-heal?

Yes. The topcoat is self-healing, so light swirls and fine scratches from washing or wiping fade out with heat. Park it in the sun or pour warm water over the panel and the surface smooths itself back out. On a darker tone like Coal Grey that matters, since fine marks show up faster on deep colors and this keeps the finish looking clean.

Will the Coal Grey color fade in the sun?

The color is engineered to resist fading. The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is the main thing that breaks down color over time, and the pigment sits inside a protected layer rather than on top. The charcoal tone is built to stay consistent for the life of the film instead of going dull or shifting brown.

Can I remove Coal Grey PPF later without damaging my paint?

Yes. When you want it off, the film peels away cleanly and leaves your original paint the way it was underneath. Because it has been shielding the surface the whole time, the paint often looks better than panels that were left bare. It is a real way to change your car without committing to a permanent respray.

How much Coal Grey film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m wide and comes in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A full car usually needs a 15m roll, while partial coverage like a hood, roof, and mirrors fits in a shorter length. Measure the panels you want to cover, add a little for trimming, and pick the length that fits. Reach out if you want help sizing it for your specific car.

Can I install Coal Grey PPF myself?

Yes, this is a wet install, which gives you slip time to slide the film into place and square it up before it sets. DIY installers do it at home with patience and the right tools. Larger one-piece panels like a full hood are easier with a second pair of hands. Check our how-to-wrap guide on this page before you start.

Is Coal Grey a gloss or a darker finish?

Coal Grey is a deep charcoal that leans dark and rich. It looks close to black in shade and opens up to a smoky graphite in direct light. It hides dust and light grime better than a true gloss black, so it stays looking sharp between washes while still giving you that deep, modern color.
