Ghost Metal Dark Green PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Dark Green / Wet apply

Ghost Metal Dark Green is a deep, moody green with a metallic flake that wakes up the moment light hits it. In shade it reads almost black, then under sun it opens up into a rich forest green with a cool grey ghost shift. It gives your car a custom factory look that most people will struggle to place, which is exactly the point.

This is colored paint protection film, not vinyl. So while it lays down that metallic green finish, the same 7.5mil TPU layer is taking the rock chips, bug splatter, and swirl marks that would otherwise hit your real paint. You get the new color and a shield for the panels underneath, in one film.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Ghost Metal Dark Green PPF last on my car?

Plan on 7 to 10 years of real-world life, and it is backed by an 8-year warranty. The 7.5mil TPU build holds that metallic green finish through years of weather, washing, and daily driving without cracking or peeling at the edges.

What is the difference between this colored PPF and a vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only changes the look. This film changes the look and protects the paint at the same time. At 7.5mil (330um) thick, the TPU absorbs rock chips and scratches that vinyl would let pass straight through to your clear coat. You are getting the dark green color plus a real protection layer in one product.

Does Ghost Metal Dark Green PPF actually self-heal?

Yes. The cashew-based topcoat is self-healing, so light swirl marks and fine scratches close up on their own with heat from the sun or warm water. The deep metallic green stays clean and glossy instead of collecting a haze of wash scratches over time.

Will the green color fade in the sun?

It is built to resist that. The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is what burns color out of paint and cheaper wraps. That UV block is a big reason the dark green and its metallic flake hold their depth across the 7 to 10 year life rather than washing out to a dull tone.

Can I remove it later without wrecking my paint?

Yes. When you want a change, the film peels off cleanly and leaves your original paint underneath the way it started. The Ashland adhesive is made to hold tight while you drive but release without tearing your factory finish, so your paint is actually in better shape for having been covered.

How much film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m wide and comes in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. As a rough guide, partial jobs like a hood and mirrors fit in a 3m to 6m roll, while a full car usually needs 15m or more depending on size. If you are unsure, measure your panels and size up rather than down so you have margin for trimming.

Can I install Ghost Metal Dark Green PPF myself?

A patient DIYer can do it. This is a wet install film, so you spray slip solution, position the panel, and squeegee out the water, which gives you time to slide and line up the metallic green before it sets. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Deep curves and full bumpers take practice, so start small if it is your first wrap.

Does the metallic look the same in every light?

No, and that is the appeal. The flake makes Ghost Metal Dark Green shift from near-black in low light to a bright forest green with a ghostly grey cast under direct sun. Plan on viewing a sample outdoors before you commit so you know how it will read on your specific paint and in your usual light.
