Liquid Metal Aluminum Silver PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Silver / Wet apply

Liquid Metal Aluminum Silver PPF delivers a metallic finish with visible depth and flake that moves subtly with the light. It gives factory paint the kind of finish that turns heads in a parking lot, without the plasticky look of cheap film.

The color here does two jobs at once. This is color paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the color also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the color you want, and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Liquid Metal Aluminum Silver PPF last on a car?

With normal care this film holds up for 7 to 10 years and is backed by an 8-year warranty. The 7.5mil TPU build and cashew topcoat are made to keep that liquid silver finish looking right through years of sun, rain, and washes.

What is the difference between this color PPF and a vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only changes the color. This is paint protection film, so it changes your car to aluminum silver and protects the paint at the same time. At 7.5mil thick it takes rock chips and road abuse that a thin vinyl wrap cannot, and the topcoat self-heals where vinyl just scratches.

Does the silver finish really self-heal?

Yes. The cashew-based topcoat is self-healing, so light swirls and fine scratches fade out with heat from the sun or warm water. That matters on a silver finish because small marks show up fast on metallics, and this film smooths them back out instead of holding onto them.

Will Liquid Metal Aluminum Silver fade in the sun?

It is built to resist fading. The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is the main thing that dulls a finish over time. The Lubrizol resin and color layer keep the bright aluminum silver tone stable for years instead of going chalky or yellow.

Does the film come off cleanly later?

Yes. The Ashland adhesive is made to peel off cleanly when you want a change, and because it has been shielding the paint the whole time, the factory finish underneath stays in better shape than bare panels exposed to the road.

How much film do I need to wrap my car?

The film is 1.52m wide and comes in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A small coupe usually needs about 15m for a full wrap, while a sedan or SUV needs more. For single panels like a hood or roof, a shorter 3m or 6m roll is often enough. Measure your panels and add some extra for trimming.

Can I install this myself at home?

Yes, DIY installers do it with patience and the right setup. This is a wet install film, so you lay it down with a slip solution that lets you slide it into place before you squeegee it out. A clean space, a heat gun, and time make a big difference. Full panels and tight curves are easier with a second set of hands.

Will Liquid Metal Aluminum Silver look right on my color of car?

This is a full-coverage color film, so it shows its own bright aluminum silver tone no matter what color sits underneath. The base paint does not bleed through, which means a dark car or a light car both end up the same liquid metal silver once wrapped.
