Metallic Racing Orange PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Racing Orange / Wet apply

Metallic Racing Orange turns heads the second the light hits it. The fine metallic flake gives the orange real depth, so it reads bright and energetic in the sun and drops to a richer burnt tone in the shade. It is the kind of color that looks fast standing still, built for anyone who wants a track-inspired finish without painting the car.

This is not a sticker or a decorative vinyl. It is real paint protection film with the color built in, so the same layer that gives you that metallic orange also takes the rock chips, road grit, and bug splatter that would normally hit your factory paint. You get the bold look and a protective shield in one wrap.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Metallic Racing Orange PPF last?

It is backed by an 8-year warranty. The metallic orange holds its punch year after year because the TPU layer and cashew topcoat are built to take sun and weather without breaking down.

What is the difference between this colored PPF and a vinyl wrap?

A vinyl wrap only changes how your car looks. This is colored paint protection film, so it does both jobs at once. The 7.5mil (330um) TPU layer carries the Metallic Racing Orange finish and also absorbs rock chips and road debris that would otherwise chip your paint. Vinyl is thin and decorative. This is thick, self-healing, and protective.

Does the self-healing actually work on this orange film?

Yes. The topcoat is self-healing, so light swirl marks and fine scratches vanish with warmth from the sun or warm water. That matters a lot on a metallic color like this one, since swirls show more on bright finishes. The surface stays clean and even instead of going dull and scratched.

Will the Metallic Racing Orange color fade in the sun?

The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is what causes color to fade. That UV shield protects both the orange pigment and the metallic flake underneath, so the color stays vivid season after season instead of washing out the way a cheap wrap would.

Can I remove it later without damaging my paint?

Yes. When you want a change or go back to factory, the film peels away cleanly and leaves your original paint intact. Because it has been shielding the paint the whole time, the surface underneath is usually in better shape than the rest of the car.

How much film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m wide and comes in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A full small car usually needs around 15m, while panels like a hood, roof, or mirrors take much less. If you are wrapping a single section, a shorter roll covers it. Map out your panels first, then pick the length with a little extra for trimming.

Can I install this myself at home?

Many DIY installers do. This is a wet install film, so a slip solution lets you slide it into place and work out bubbles before it sets. Take your time on curved areas and edges. If you are wrapping a full vehicle for the first time, complex panels are easier with two sets of hands or a pro, but hoods, roofs, and accent pieces are very doable at home.
