Porsche Grey PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Porsche Grey

Porsche Grey PPF delivers a clean, high-gloss color with real depth that catches the light cleanly. It gives factory paint the kind of finish that turns heads in a parking lot, without the plasticky look of cheap film.

The color here does two jobs at once. This is color paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the color also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the color you want, and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Porsche Grey PPF last on my car?

With normal care you can expect 7 to 10 years of service from this film, and it is backed by an 8-year warranty. The cashew topcoat and the 7.5mil (330um) TPU build are made to hold the Porsche Grey color and the protection for years, not months.

What is the difference between colored PPF and a vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only decorates. It changes the color but does nothing for the paint. Porsche Grey colored PPF does both jobs at once. It gives you the grey finish and the 7.5mil TPU film absorbs rock chips and road impacts that would otherwise reach your factory paint. You get the new look and a protective layer in one film.

Does this Porsche Grey film really self-heal?

Yes. The cashew-based topcoat is self-healing, so light swirl marks and fine scratches close up with heat. Park in the sun or pour warm water over the panel and small marks fade back into the even grey surface. Deep cuts that reach the adhesive will not heal.

Will the Porsche Grey color fade over time?

The pigment is sealed inside the film and the topcoat blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is the main cause of fading. That UV barrier keeps the grey looking consistent and also shields the paint beneath it, so the color stays true far longer than a thin colored vinyl would.

Does Porsche Grey PPF remove cleanly later?

Yes. When you want a change, the film peels off and is designed to lift cleanly from a sound factory paint surface, leaving the original paint protected underneath. Warming the panel first makes removal easier and reduces any adhesive left behind.

How much film do I need for my car?

The film is 1.52m wide and comes in 3m, 6m, 9m, and 15m lengths. A few panels like a hood and mirrors can be done with a shorter roll, while a full vehicle wrap usually needs the 15m length. Measure the panels you plan to cover and add a margin for trimming and wrapped edges.

Can I install Porsche Grey PPF myself?

Yes, it is a wet install, which gives you time to slide the film into place and work out bubbles before it sets. Patient DIY installers handle flatter panels well. Tight curves and full-car coverage take more practice, so start on a smaller panel and follow the how-to-wrap guide on this page.

Will Porsche Grey look the same on every car?

The film color is consistent, but the final look shifts a little with your car's shape and your local light. On flat panels it reads as a clean even grey, and on creases and curves it picks up a soft sheen. Lighting at different times of day will also change how cool or deep the grey appears.
