The film carries special pigment layers that bend light differently depending on the angle you view it from and the light hitting it. As you move around the car, or as the sun shifts through the day, those layers send back a warm gold tone from one angle and a deep green from another. Nothing electronic and no coating to recharge. The flip is built into the vinyl itself.
