Grey Purple PPF | Self-Healing TPU Color Film
$260.00 USD
1.52*3m(5*9.8ft) / Grey Purple

Grey Purple PPF delivers a clean, high-gloss color with real depth that catches the light cleanly. It gives factory paint the kind of finish that turns heads in a parking lot, without the plasticky look of cheap film.

The color here does two jobs at once. This is color paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the color also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the color you want, and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.

Key features

  • Self-healing topcoat: minor scratches and swirl marks fade out with heat from the sun or a heat gun.
  • Hydrophobic surface: water and dirt bead off instead of sticking, so the film stays cleaner for longer.
  • Acid rain and oxidation resistant: holds up against acid rain, oxidation and yellowing over years of daily driving.
  • Stain and penetration resistant: bird droppings, tree sap and grease do not soak into the film.
  • Flexible and tear resistant: high elongation and tensile strength let it stretch over curves without cracking.
  • Mirror-gloss finish: the glass-crystal top layer boosts paint depth and gloss by up to 40 percent and smooths out orange peel.
  • Removable adhesive: peels off cleanly with heat, with no glue residue left behind.
  • Bubble-free install: designed to lay flat without bubbling, warping or lifting at the edges.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Grey Purple PPF last on my car?

With normal driving and regular washing you can expect 7 to 10 years of service, and it is backed by an 8-year warranty. The 7.5mil TPU build and cashew topcoat are what carry it that long. Garage parking and a gentle wash routine push it toward the high end of that range.

What is the difference between this and a Grey Purple vinyl wrap?

Vinyl only decorates. It is thin and adds no real defense for your paint. This is color PPF, so it does both jobs at once. You get the grey-purple finish plus a thick 7.5mil layer that absorbs rock chips and scratches before they reach your clear coat. Same look, far more protection.

Does the Grey Purple film self-heal?

Yes. The topcoat is self-healing, so light swirl marks and fine scratches from washing or daily driving fade out with heat. Park in the sun or pour warm water over the panel and the surface smooths itself back out, keeping that grey-violet shift clean.

Will the Grey Purple color fade over time?

It holds its tone well. The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is what causes most color fade and dullness. That keeps the cool grey and the purple undertone stable for years instead of washing out into a flat grey.

Does it remove cleanly when I want a change?

Yes. When you are ready for something new it peels off without tearing up your factory paint, since the film took the wear and not the clear coat underneath. Best results come from removing it within the warranty window and with a little heat to soften the adhesive.

How much Grey Purple film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m wide and comes in 3, 6, 9, and 15m lengths. A bike or small accent piece is fine on 3m. A sedan usually wants 15m or more for a full wrap, while a single hood or roof often fits in 6m. Measure your panels and add a little extra for trimming.

Can I install this myself?

Many DIY installers do. This is a wet install film, so you lay it down with slip solution and a squeegee, which gives you time to position and smooth it. Panels like a hood, roof, or trunk are very doable at home. Full car wraps with tight curves are easier with two people or a pro setup.

Is Grey Purple a gloss or matte finish?

It reads as a smooth gloss leaning color shift that deepens the purple in direct light. The self-healing topcoat keeps it slick and reflective, which is what gives the grey and violet that liquid look as light moves across the panel.
