Metallic Black Purple PPF delivers a metallic finish with visible depth and flake that moves subtly with the light. It gives factory paint the kind of finish that turns heads in a parking lot, without the plasticky look of cheap film.

The color here does two jobs at once. This is color paint protection film, not vinyl, so the same layer that gives you the color also takes the hits. Rock chips, road grime, light scratches, bug splatter and wash swirls land on the film instead of your factory paint. You get the color you want, and the original paint stays sealed and safe underneath.

What is the difference between this and a purple vinyl wrap?

A vinyl wrap only decorates. It adds color and then sits there while rocks and grit chew up the paint or the vinyl itself. Metallic Black Purple is paint protection film, so it colors the car and shields the paint at the same time. One 7.5mil TPU layer does both jobs, which vinyl cannot do.
Does the metallic purple topcoat really self-heal?

Yes. The cashew based topcoat is self-healing, so light swirls and fine wash marks pull out with the warmth of the sun or some hot water. That matters even more on a dark metallic like this one, since scuffs show up faster on deep purple than on lighter colors.
Will the purple fade in the sun?

The film blocks 95 to 98 percent of UV, which is what causes color to wash out over time. That UV shield is built to keep the metallic purple deep and the shift sharp for years instead of letting it go dull and chalky like cheaper films.
Can I take it off later without wrecking my paint?

Will Metallic Black Purple look different in low light versus sunlight?
