Diamond Glitter Purple to Red Color-Shift Car Wrap | Chameleon Vinyl
$190.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Matte Purple to Red

This is a deep purple that catches fire as you walk past it. Straight on, the panel reads as a rich violet with a fine diamond glitter that throws tiny sparks in the sun. Move to the side or let the light shift and that purple bleeds into a hot red, then back again as you keep moving. No two angles look the same, and parked next to a flat single-color car it simply does not sit still.

It is a color-changing vinyl, so the flip lives in the film itself, not in a coat of paint. Lay it over your factory finish and you get the full purple-to-red shift plus a layer that shields the paint underneath from daily wear, road grime, and small surface scuffs. When you want a different look later, it comes off and your original paint is still there.

Key features

  • Color shifts as you move: layered pigment flips the shade with the viewing angle and the light, so the car looks alive in motion and never the same in two photos.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

What makes this wrap shift from purple to red?

The color sits in special pigment flakes built into the film. As the angle you view it from and the light around it change, those flakes bounce light back in different ways. Head on you see deep purple. Turn or move past it and the red comes through. It is a real physical effect in the vinyl, so it works under sun, streetlights, and shade.

What colors will I actually see on the car?

The two main tones are a rich deep purple and a fiery red, with plenty of in-between violet and magenta shades as the light moves across each panel. The fine diamond glitter adds a sparkle on top of the shift, so in bright sun the surface reads almost metallic. Curved panels like fenders and mirrors show the most color travel.

Will this wrap hurt my paint?

No. It actually helps protect it. The vinyl sits on top of your factory finish and takes the daily hits instead, things like road grime, light scuffs, and sun exposure. Your original paint stays sealed underneath. When you remove the wrap later the paint is still there in the same condition you wrapped it.

How is this different from a custom color-shift paint job?

A real purple-to-red flip in paint is one of the most expensive and difficult jobs a body shop can do, and if it gets damaged it is very hard to match and repair. This wrap gives you that same flip for a fraction of the cost, goes on far faster, protects the paint you already have, and peels off cleanly when you want a change. You are not locked in.

How do I wash and care for it?

Hand washing is best. Use a gentle car shampoo and a soft mitt, rinse well, and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes. Clean off bird droppings and bug splatter promptly so they do not sit on the surface. A wrap that lives in a garage or under cover will keep its color and sparkle looking fresh for longer.

Can I install this myself?

Yes, many DIY installers do. The film has a Henkel air-release adhesive, so trapped air pushes out through tiny channels as you squeegee, which means far fewer bubbles than older vinyls. You can run a dry or wet install depending on your comfort level. Take your time on curves, use gentle heat to shape it, and work one panel at a time.

Does it remove cleanly later?

It does. When you are ready for a new look, warm the film gently and peel it back at a low angle. Because it has been protecting your factory paint the whole time, what is underneath comes out clean. Removal is much simpler than redoing a custom paint job.

How much film do I need for my car?

As a rough guide, a small car or sedan usually needs around 15 to 18 meters, a larger SUV or truck closer to 20 to 25 meters. Add extra for mistakes, complex curves, and practice if it is your first wrap. The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers most full panels in one piece. Measure your panels and round up to be safe.
