Flame Green Heavy Metal Car Wrap | Satin Metallic Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Flame Green Heavy Metal is a deep, low-sheen green loaded with fine metal flake. In the shade it reads as a calm satin green with a quiet glow inside it. Roll into direct sun and the flake wakes up, throwing a soft shimmer across every panel so the color looks alive without ever going glossy. It is the kind of green that turns heads in a parking lot but still looks grown up on the street.
This is a full color-change wrap, not paint. It lays a fresh satin metallic green over your factory finish and seals the original paint under a tough vinyl layer that takes the daily hits of grit, bug splatter, and wash swirl instead of your clear coat. When you are ready for a change, it comes back off and your paint is still underneath. You get a custom metallic look for a fraction of a real metallic respray, and you keep the option to undo it.

Key features
- Heavy metal flake: a dense metal flake gives this satin finish a faint, upscale shimmer without the high gloss, for a deep textured look.
- Low-sheen satin surface: the muted finish reads premium and understated, somewhere between matte and gloss.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do, and how does it look in sun versus shade?
The flake is mixed right into the green color layer. In shade or indoors you see a soft, even satin green with a faint inner shimmer. Under direct sun the tiny metal particles catch the light and scatter it, so the panel gets a gentle sparkle and the green looks deeper and more dimensional. It shifts with the light all day, which is the whole point of a Heavy Metal finish.
Is the surface textured or smooth?
It is smooth to the touch. The flake sits inside the film, not on top, so you feel a flat satin surface, not grit or grain. The shimmer is something you see in the light, not something you feel with your fingers.
Will wrapping hurt my paint, or does it protect it?
On factory paint in good shape it protects rather than harms. The vinyl shields your original clear coat from sun, light scratches, bug acid, and wash swirl, so the paint underneath stays fresh. When you remove it later the factory finish is still there. The one thing to avoid is wrapping over chipping, peeling, or fresh repaint, since the film can lift loose paint when it comes off.
How is this different from a metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes your car off the road for days, and is hard to fix or color match after a scuff. This Flame Green wrap gives you a similar flake-in-the-light look for far less, goes on much faster, and protects the paint you already paid for. Best of all it is reversible, so you are not stuck with the color forever.
How do I wash and care for a satin metallic wrap?
Never wax, polish, or machine-buff it. Those products and a buffer leave shiny streaks and uneven gloss spots on a satin finish and you cannot undo it. Hand wash only, with a soft mitt and a gentle car shampoo, then rinse and pat dry with a clean microfiber. Clear off bird droppings, fuel splashes, and bug guts quickly so they do not stain the flake layer. Treat it gently and the satin stays even across every panel.
Can I install this myself with the air-release adhesive?
Yes, a patient DIYer can. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive has air-release channels, so trapped bubbles push out to the edge with a squeegee instead of leaving you stuck with them, and the glue lets you reposition while you work. You can run a dry install or a wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Save deep recesses and mirror caps for a steady hand or a pro.
Does it remove cleanly later?
On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a heat gun or in the sun and peel it back slow at a low angle. The acrylic adhesive is made to release with heat and usually leaves little to no residue. Anything left behind wipes off with a proper adhesive remover. Always test a small hidden area first if your paint has been resprayed.
How much film do I need for my car, and how long does it last?
Sedans usually take a roll in the larger range, while a compact car or a partial job like a roof, hood, or accents can work from a shorter roll. The film comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) lengths, and it helps to add a little extra for mistakes and overlap. With gentle hand washing and care a Heavy Metal wrap holds up for years, and a car kept in a garage out of constant sun and weather will keep its satin and shimmer looking fresh even longer.
