Copper Heavy Metal Car Wrap | Car Vinyl

Copper Heavy Metal is a warm penny tone with a low-sheen satin face packed full of fine metal flake. In the shade it reads as a deep, muted copper with a soft matte calm to it. Roll it into sunlight and the flake wakes up, sending a faint shimmer across every panel without ever turning glossy. It is the rich look of an aged copper coin with none of the mirror glare.
This is a color-change vinyl wrap, so it lays a fresh metallic skin over your car while sealing the factory paint underneath from sun, light scuffs, and the grime of daily driving. When you want a change later, it comes off and the original finish is still there. You get a custom copper look that protects what is already on the car.

Key features
- Heavy metal flake: a dense metal flake gives this satin finish a faint, upscale shimmer without the high gloss, for a deep textured look.
- Low-sheen satin surface: the muted finish reads premium and understated, somewhere between matte and gloss.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do on this copper wrap?
The flake sits in the color layer and catches light from different angles. In flat shade Copper Heavy Metal looks like a calm, deep penny tone. In direct sun the tiny flakes light up and give the panel a warm shimmer and a sense of depth, so the car never looks like flat solid paint.
Is the surface smooth or does it have texture?
It is smooth to the touch. The flake is built into the color layer under the satin top surface, so you feel a flat, low-sheen finish, not grit. The shimmer is something you see, not something you feel.
How is satin different from a gloss copper wrap?
Satin sits between matte and gloss. Copper Heavy Metal has a soft low-sheen face instead of a wet mirror shine, so the copper reads richer and more muted while the metal flake still sparkles in the sun. It hides minor surface imperfections better than a high gloss too.
How do I wash and care for a satin metallic wrap?
Hand wash only with a gentle car shampoo and a soft mitt, then rinse and pat dry. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff a satin metallic wrap. Those create shiny patches and ruin the even low-sheen look. Skip automatic brush washes and wipe off fuel, bird mess, and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the film.
Will this wrap protect my paint or damage it?
It protects it. The vinyl shields your factory paint from sun fade, light scratches, and road grime while it is on. It is a cosmetic color wrap rather than a thick everyday scratches and road film film, so do not expect armor against stone strikes, but for everyday wear it adds a real barrier over the original finish.
Copper wrap or a custom copper metallic respray, which makes sense?
A wrap costs far less than a real metallic-flake respray, goes on much faster, and it is reversible. A true copper metallic paint job is expensive and a pain to repair or match if it gets damaged. With Copper Heavy Metal you get the custom flake look, keep your original paint underneath, and can return the car to stock later.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped bubbles push out through tiny channels and you can reposition while you work. You can install dry or wet. Take your time on curves and edges with heat, and many DIY installers handle flat and simple panels at home. Tight bumpers and mirrors are the trickier parts.
How much film do I need and what lengths are there?
Copper Heavy Metal comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. A full small car usually needs around 50 to 60 feet, while accents like a roof, hood, or mirrors need much less. Measure your panels and add a margin for mistakes and wrapped edges before you order.
