Agate Grey reads like cool polished stone with a liquid metal shine. In the shade it settles into a deep, smoky grey that looks calm and serious. Roll into the sun and the fine metal flake wakes up, throwing a bright mirror-like glow that shifts as you walk around the car. It is the kind of grey that looks expensive without shouting.
This is a color-change wrap, so it lays a fresh metallic finish right over your factory paint while shielding that paint from sun, light grit, and the small marks of daily driving. When you want a change later, it comes back off. You get the look of a custom metallic finish without touching what is underneath.

Key features
- Liquid-metal shine: a high-shine metallic surface that reads almost reflective, throwing a bright mirror-like glow in the sun and catching light at night.
- Deep flake color: fine metal flake under the topcoat gives the color real depth, so it never looks flat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out for a clean, flat lay you can reposition.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake do and how does Agate Grey look in sun versus shade?
The color layer holds fine metal flake, so the finish reacts to light. In shade Agate Grey looks like a deep, even smoky grey. In direct sun the flake lights up and gives that bright, almost reflective liquid metal glow, with the tone shifting as the angle changes. That sun-to-shade swing is the whole point of a metallic wrap.
Does this wrap have texture or is it smooth?
It is smooth to the touch. The metal flake sits inside the color layer, not on the surface, so you see the sparkle but feel a flat, even finish. The face film measures 4.1mil, thick enough to glide on cleanly and feel solid once it is down.
Will wrapping damage my paint, or does it protect it?
A proper wrap protects rather than harms. The Agate Grey film covers your factory paint and shields it from sun, light grit, and the small scuffs of daily use. It uses an air-release adhesive made to come off later without taking your paint with it, as long as your original paint is healthy and well bonded.
How is this different from a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes your car off the road for a while, and is hard to match or repair after a scratch. Agate Grey gives you a similar metallic look for far less, goes on faster, keeps your factory paint safe underneath, and peels off when you want a different look. A respray is permanent. This is not.
How do I wash and care for an Agate Grey wrap?
Hand wash with a mild car soap and a soft mitt, then rinse and pat dry to avoid water spots on that shiny surface. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes. Clean off bird droppings and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit. The film handles heat from -30 to +140 C, and a garage-kept car will hold its shine longer than one parked in full sun every day. Cared for well, it lasts for years.
Can I install Agate Grey myself with the air-release adhesive?
Yes. The air-release channels in the adhesive let trapped air escape as you squeegee, so bubbles are far easier to work out. You can do a dry or wet install depending on your comfort and the panel. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable for a careful DIYer. For deep recesses and mirror caps, take your time and use heat.
Does Agate Grey remove cleanly later?
It is built to. With gentle heat the film softens and lifts away, and the solvent-based acrylic adhesive is designed to release without leaving heavy residue on sound factory paint. Going slow and keeping the film warm gives the cleanest result.
How much film do I need for my car?
A full wrap on a compact car or sedan usually lands in the 50 to 60ft range, while larger SUVs and trucks need more. We offer rolls in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) lengths. If you are only doing the roof, hood, mirrors, or accents, a single 30ft roll covers most partial jobs with room for mistakes.
