Liquid Metal Grey Liquid Metal Car Wrap | Metallic Vinyl

Liquid Metal Grey reads like polished metal poured over your car. In shade it sits as a deep cool grey with a soft sheen. Roll into the sun and the fine metal flake wakes up, throwing a bright mirror-like glow that shifts as the light moves across every panel. It is the high-shine metallic look people chase with a custom respray, without the cost or the commitment.
This is a color-change vinyl, not paint. It wraps right over your factory finish and shields the paint underneath from the small stuff that wears a car down day to day: sun, light grit, and washing marks. When you want a change or want to sell, it peels back off and your original paint is still there. Lay it down dry or wet, work the air-release channels, and you get a clean glassy finish at home.

Key features
- Liquid-metal shine: a high-shine metallic surface that reads almost reflective, throwing a bright mirror-like glow in the sun and catching light at night.
- Deep flake color: fine metal flake under the topcoat gives the color real depth, so it never looks flat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out for a clean, flat lay you can reposition.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do in Liquid Metal Grey?
The flake sits inside the color layer, so the grey is not flat. It catches and bounces light, which is what gives this film its bright mirror-like glow. The more direct the light, the more the flake sparkles and the more the grey seems to shift in depth.
How different does it look in sun versus shade?
In shade Liquid Metal Grey is a cool, even grey with a quiet sheen. In direct sun the flake lights up and the panel takes on a near-reflective metallic glow. That swing between calm and bright is the whole point of a liquid metal finish, so it never looks like one solid color all day.
Does the wrap have a rough texture or is it smooth?
It is smooth to the touch. The metal flake is embedded in the color layer, not sitting on the surface, so you get the sparkle visually but the film still feels flat and glassy under your hand. The high-shine face film is what your fingers actually meet.
Will wrapping my car damage the paint underneath?
No. The opposite is true for healthy factory paint. The vinyl covers the original finish and takes the daily wear, the sun, the light grit, and the wash marks, so your paint stays protected while it is wrapped. When you remove it later, good paint is still there underneath.
How is this different from a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray looks great but it is expensive, takes your car off the road for a while, and is hard to repair or match if a panel gets damaged. Liquid Metal Grey vinyl gives you a similar high-shine metallic look for far less, it goes on faster, and it peels off cleanly when you want a change. A respray is permanent. A wrap is not.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, many people do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped air pushes out to the edges through tiny channels instead of leaving bubbles. You can install dry or wet. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home with patience, a squeegee, and a heat source. Tight curves and recesses take more practice.
How do I wash and care for it?
Hand wash with a mild car soap and a soft mitt, then rinse and dry. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes that could dull the shine. Keeping Liquid Metal Grey out of long sun when you can will help it hold its glow, and a garage-kept car will keep that bright metallic look longer. With good care it lasts for years.
How much film do I need for my car?
A small car or partial job needs less, a full wrap on a larger vehicle needs more. The film comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. A full sedan wrap usually needs the longer roll, and it is smart to leave extra for mistakes and door jambs. If you are unsure, measure your panels or message us with your model.
