Amethyst Purple Metallic Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl
$200.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Amethyst Purple

Amethyst Purple sits right between a deep wine and a cool violet, and the fine metal flake is what gives it life. Park it in the shade and you get a rich, almost black-grape purple with real depth. Roll it into the sun and the flake lights up, throwing tiny points of sparkle across every panel and pulling brighter violet tones to the surface. The gloss top layer keeps it wet and mirror-clean so the color reads sharp from across the lot.

This is a color-change wrap, so it does two jobs at once. It transforms the look of your car, and the film itself takes the daily hits your factory paint would otherwise eat. Stone dust, light scuffs, bird mess, sun, and washing all land on the vinyl instead of the paint underneath. When you want a change later, the wrap comes off and the original finish is still there.

Key features

  • Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
  • Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions

What does the metallic flake actually do on this purple?

The flake is fine metal suspended in the color layer, and it changes how Amethyst Purple reacts to light. In flat or shaded light the wrap reads as a deep, solid jewel-tone purple. Under direct sun the flake catches the light and sparkles, lifting brighter violet tones and giving the panels real movement as you walk around the car.

Does the wrap feel rough or have texture from the flake?

No. Even though the flake sits in the color layer, the gloss face film over the top is smooth to the touch. Amethyst Purple has the sparkle of a metallic finish but a slick, glassy surface, so it feels just like a glossy painted panel.

Will wrapping my car damage the paint underneath?

On factory paint that is in good shape, no. The film uses an air-release acrylic adhesive that grips firmly while you install but is made to come back off later. While it is on, the Amethyst Purple wrap actually shields your paint from sun, light scuffs, and road grime. Paint that is already peeling or has been resprayed badly can be a risk, so wrap only solid original paint.

How is this different from getting a metallic purple respray?

A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes your car off the road for a long time, and is hard to color match if a panel gets damaged later. This Amethyst Purple wrap gives you a similar deep flake look for far less, goes on faster, protects the paint you already have, and peels off when you want a different look. A respray is permanent and a wrap is not.

How do I wash and care for an Amethyst Purple metallic wrap?

Hand washing is best. Use a soft mitt with a pH-neutral car shampoo, rinse well, and pat dry with a microfiber towel so you do not leave water spots on the gloss. Skip harsh solvents, pressure washing up close, and automatic brush tunnels. Clean off bird droppings and fuel splatter quickly. A wrap that is kept in a garage out of constant sun will hold its sparkle and color longer.

Can I install this myself with the air-release adhesive?

Yes, a patient DIY installer can do it. The air-release channels in the adhesive let trapped air escape so you avoid bubbles, and you can reposition the film as you go. You can install dry or wet. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Deep curves, mirrors, and bumpers take more heat and practice, so plan extra film for those.

Does this wrap come off cleanly later?

When removed properly it does. Warm the Amethyst Purple film with a heat gun and pull it back slowly at a low angle so it lifts in large pieces. Any light adhesive left behind comes off with a proper adhesive remover. Removal is easiest while the wrap is still in good condition, so do not wait until it is badly weathered.

How much film do I need for my car?

As a rough guide, a small car needs around 50 to 55 ft, a sedan around 60 to 65 ft, and a large SUV or truck 75 ft or more. This wrap comes in 30 ft (9 m) and 59 ft (18 m) roll options, so most full wraps use the 59 ft roll plus extra for mirrors and bumpers. Always add a margin for mistakes and complex curves. For accents like a roof or hood, the 30 ft roll is usually plenty.
