Black Gold Metallic Car Wrap | Vinyl Film
💪 Hurry up! Only 8 left
Black Gold is one of those colors that does not commit until the light lands on it. In the shade it looks like a deep, even charcoal black, cool and composed. Roll into direct sun and the fine metal flake inside the color layer lights up, pulling warm gold sparkle out of the dark base and turning the whole panel dimensional. It shifts as you move and as the light changes, which is what separates a metallic wrap from a flat color.
This is a full color-change wrap, not paint. The gloss metallic film covers your factory finish and takes the daily hits for it, shielding the paint from light scratches, road grime, and UV underneath. When you want a change or a clean sale, it comes back off and your original paint is still there.

Key features
- Dark-to-gold metallic shift: fine metal flake mixed into the black base catches direct light and pulls warm gold sparkle out, so the color changes with the angle.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on Black Gold?
The color layer holds fine metal flake mixed right into the film. In shade Black Gold looks like a deep dark charcoal. The moment direct light hits it, those tiny flakes catch and scatter the light, pulling warm gold sparkle out of the dark base. It is the same effect that makes an expensive metallic respray pop, built into the vinyl.
Does the wrap have a rough or grainy texture, or is it smooth?
It is smooth to the touch. The metal flake lives inside the color layer, and a glossy face film sits over the top, so the surface feels slick and even like glass. The sparkle is something you see, not something you feel.
Will wrapping damage my paint, or does it protect it?
A proper install protects the paint. Black Gold lays over your factory finish and takes the sun, light scratches, and daily grime instead of the paint. The panel underneath stays sealed away from that wear. When removed cleanly, the original paint is right where you left it.
Why choose this wrap over a real metallic respray?
A custom metallic-flake respray is one of the priciest paint jobs you can order, it takes your car off the road for a while, and if it ever chips it is hard and costly to match. A Black Gold wrap gives you that same gold-flake glow for far less, goes on much faster, leaves your factory paint untouched, and peels off when you want a change. A respray is permanent. This is not.
How do I wash and care for it?
Hand wash with a gentle car shampoo and a soft mitt, then rinse and pat dry to keep water spots off the gloss. Skip harsh solvents and avoid blasting seams with a close-range pressure washer. Wipe off fuel, bird mess, and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the film. Cared for this way, and kept in a garage when you can, a wrap holds its look for years.
Can I install Black Gold myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so it has tiny channels that let trapped air escape and let you reposition the film as you work instead of fighting instant grab. You can run a dry or wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Big curved panels are easier with a second set of hands and a heat gun.
Does it come off cleanly later?
When you are ready for something new, warm the film with gentle heat and peel it back slowly at a low angle. Because it sat on top of and shielded your paint, a clean removal lifts the wrap and leaves the factory finish behind. That is the whole point of going vinyl instead of paint.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on the size and shape of your vehicle and whether you are wrapping the full body or just a few panels. Rolls come in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) lengths. A small hatch needs far less than a large SUV, and complex curves use extra for overlap and mistakes. Measure your panels and add a margin, or reach out and we will help you size it.
