Black Metallic Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl
💪 Hurry up! Only 7 left
Gloss Metallic Black is the kind of black that never sits still. In the shade it reads as a deep, glossy near-black with quiet depth. Roll into direct sun and the fine metal flake wakes up, throwing tiny sparks of silver light across the panels so the whole car looks like it was sprayed with liquid metal. It is darker and meaner than a flat black, with the wet shine of a fresh gloss coat and a glint that follows you as the light moves.
This is a color-change vinyl wrap, so it goes right over your existing paint and seals it from sun, road grime, light scratches, and the small daily wear that dulls a finish over time. When you are ready for something new, it comes back off and your factory paint is still there underneath. You get a head-turning metallic black look without ever touching the original paint.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do on this black?
The flake is mixed into the color layer, so it catches and scatters light from inside the finish. In low light or shade the black looks deep and glossy and calm. In direct sun the flake lights up with fine silver sparkle that moves as you walk around the car. It gives plain black real depth and a high-end shimmer that a flat or solid black cannot match.
Does the surface feel rough or textured because of the flake?
No. The flake sits in the color layer under a smooth glossy top, so the surface feels slick and even like any gloss finish. The sparkle is something you see, not something you feel. Run your hand across it and it is clean and smooth from panel to panel.
Will wrapping damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The wrap lays over your factory paint and shields it from UV fade, road grit, bird mess, and the small scuffs of daily driving. Applied to sound, undamaged paint and removed properly later, it lifts away cleanly and leaves the original finish underneath in the same shape it went on.
Why pick a metallic black wrap over a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray in black is one of the priciest paint jobs you can order, it ties the car up for a week or more, and any future repair means blending fresh flake to match, which is genuinely hard. This wrap gives you the same deep metallic black for a fraction of the cost, goes on far faster, protects the paint you already have, and peels off when you want a change. The respray is permanent and costly. The wrap is reversible.
How do I wash and care for it?
Hand washing is best. Use a soft mitt, a pH-neutral car shampoo, and rinse clean. Skip harsh solvents and avoid stiff brushes at automatic washes that can scuff a wrap. Dry with a soft microfiber to keep the gloss sharp. Treat it well and a metallic black wrap holds its shine for years, and a car kept in a garage out of constant sun will look fresh even longer.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the channels in the glue let trapped air escape and let you reposition the film as you work instead of fighting instant grab. You can run a dry or a wet install. Flat and gently curved panels are very doable at home. Take your time on deep curves and bumpers, and use gentle heat to set the film into the contours.
Does it remove cleanly when I want a change?
It does. On healthy factory paint the wrap peels off without taking your paint with it. Warming the film with a heat gun as you pull makes it lift in larger, cleaner sections, and any light adhesive left behind comes off with a proper adhesive remover. That clean reversibility is the whole point of going with a wrap instead of paint.
How much film do I need for my car?
A small car or coupe usually runs around 50 to 60 feet, a midsize sedan around 60 to 65 feet, and a large SUV or truck around 75 feet or more. This wrap comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths, so order enough to cover your panels plus extra for mistakes, wrapped edges, and any practice. When you are between sizes, size up. Leftover film is far cheaper than coming up short mid-project.
