BMW Blue is a classic, medium-deep blue with fine metal flake running through the color. It has the serious, polished look you see on premium factory paint, the kind that makes a well-kept car look like it just came off the production line. In the shade the blue is rich and even with a sharp gloss. In direct sun the flake lights up and adds a lively sparkle that deepens the whole panel and makes the car look sharp from every angle.
It wraps over your factory finish and protects the original paint from sun, light scuffs, and grime while the car wears the new color. When you want the original look back or a completely different wrap, it comes off clean and the factory paint is still underneath. A full metallic color change that does not commit you to anything permanent.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on BMW Blue?
The flake is mixed into the color layer of the film, so it catches and bounces light. In the shade BMW Blue looks like a deep, smooth gloss. In direct sun the flake sparkles and the blue brightens and gains depth. That light play is what separates a metallic wrap from a flat solid color.
Does the surface feel rough or textured?
No. Even though there is metal flake inside the film, the top of the wrap is smooth and glossy. The flake lives in the color layer under the surface, so BMW Blue looks like it sparkles but feels slick and even to the touch, just like a glossy painted panel.
Will wrapping my car damage the paint?
Used on healthy factory paint, the opposite is true. The film covers your original finish and takes the daily wear instead, guarding it from light scuffs, sun, and grime. The adhesive is made to come back off cleanly later, so your paint stays protected the whole time the BMW Blue wrap is on.
How is this different from a custom metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, ties your car up for days, and is hard to color match or repair after a scratch. This BMW Blue wrap gives you a similar deep metallic look for far less, goes on much faster, protects the paint instead of replacing it, and peels off when you want a different look.
How do I wash and care for a metallic gloss wrap?
Treat it like good paint. Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH-neutral car soap, rinse well, and pat dry to avoid water spots. Skip harsh brushes and abrasive polishes. Wash off bird droppings and fuel spills quickly. Keeping BMW Blue garage-kept and out of constant sun helps the metallic gloss last longer.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, this is a DIY-friendly film. The solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped air pushes out through tiny channels and you get far fewer bubbles while you work. You can run a dry or wet install. Large flat panels are very doable at home, while deep curves and mirrors take more patience, heat, and a good squeegee.
Does the wrap remove cleanly when I am done?
On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film with gentle heat, lift a corner, and pull it back slowly at a low angle so it releases without fighting you. Any light adhesive left behind wipes away with a proper adhesive remover, leaving your original paint ready for whatever comes next.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on your vehicle. As a rough guide, a small car often needs around 50 to 55 feet, a sedan about 60 to 65 feet, and a large SUV or truck more. The film comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. Add extra for mistakes, learning curve, and complex curves, and always measure your own panels before ordering.
