Ghost Midnight Gold Diamond Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Ghost Midnight Gold Diamond is a deep, moody wrap that refuses to stay in one place. In shade it sits as a rich, almost-black gold. Hit direct sunlight or oncoming headlights and the diamond micro-flakes ignite, throwing off sharp gold reflections that travel across the panel as you move around the car. It is the kind of finish people stop to look at twice.
Wrap it over your factory paint and you get more than a head-turning color change. The 90-micron polymeric PVC face film shields your paint from door dings, UV fade, and daily road grime, and because it is fully reversible, your original paint comes off the car looking exactly as it went on. Getting this effect in custom paint would cost several times more and would be permanent. This is smarter.

Frequently asked questions
What does the diamond effect actually look like on the car?
Think of it as a color that lives in two states. Parked in the shade, Ghost Midnight Gold reads as a dark, almost graphite gold with real depth. The moment light hits it at an angle, the diamond micro-flakes catch that light and scatter it as bright gold sparks across the panel. The effect moves as you walk around the car, so the finish never looks the same twice.
How is this different from a standard metallic gold paint?
Standard metallic paint reflects light in a fairly uniform way. The diamond micro-flakes in this wrap are cut at multiple angles, so they scatter light in many directions at once. That is what creates the ghost shift, where the base appears dark until flakes ignite in direct light. A custom paint shop can try to replicate this effect, but the job is expensive, the finish is permanent, and repairs are difficult to blend. This wrap costs far less, protects the paint underneath, and comes off clean when you are done with it.
Will it protect my factory paint?
Yes, in the way a quality vinyl wrap protects paint. The 90-micron polymeric face film acts as a barrier against UV rays, light scratches, bird droppings, and everyday road grime. It is a cosmetic wrap, not a heavy-duty protective film, so it is not designed to absorb stone impacts. What it does very well is keep your factory paint in showroom condition while it is covered, and that matters a lot when it is time to sell or trade the car.
How do I wash a gloss diamond wrap without dulling the flake effect?
A contactless or touchless wash is the safest option and will keep the gloss sharp over time. If you hand-wash, use a clean microfibre mitt and a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid harsh detergents, abrasive sponges, and automatic brush washes. Dry with a soft microfibre towel rather than letting it air-dry to avoid water spots sitting over the flakes. Because this is a gloss finish, you can apply a wrap-safe sealant to boost shine, but avoid wax products with fillers that can build up in the micro-flake texture.
Can I install this myself?
Many customers do. The air-release adhesive means you can lift and reposition the film during install without trapping bubbles, which takes a lot of stress out of the process. Dry install works well for flat and mildly curved panels. For deep bumper curves and door mirrors, use the wet method with a diluted slip solution and a quality squeegee. If this is your first full wrap, we recommend practicing on a small panel like a mirror cap or door handle before moving to a full hood or roof.
How much film do I need for my car?
A full wrap on a standard sedan or coupe typically takes around 17 to 20 metres (55 to 65 feet). Larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks need more, often 23 to 27 metres. If you are only wrapping sections such as a roof, hood, or trunk, those panels individually need 2 to 5 metres each depending on size. Order a little extra if you are installing yourself since first-timers naturally use more film than an experienced shop would.
Will it remove cleanly when I want a new look?
Yes. The Henkel acrylic adhesive is formulated to release cleanly from factory paint that is in good condition. Apply gentle heat from a heat gun or a warm day's sun to soften the adhesive, then peel from a corner slowly and at a low angle. On paint that is in good shape and has not been resprayed over the original clear coat, this wrap comes off without leaving adhesive residue or lifting the paint.
Does the diamond effect look the same at night?
At night the ghost quality is actually most dramatic. Under artificial light, street lights, and oncoming headlights, the micro-flakes pick up whatever light source is nearby and throw it back as sharp gold points. The dark midnight base makes the lit flakes pop harder in low-light conditions than they would on a lighter base color. Under parking garage lights the whole panel seems to glow from within.
