It is a chameleon film, so the pigment reflects different colors depending on the angle you view it from and the light hitting it. As you walk around the car or as the sun moves, Galactic Blue travels from a deep ocean blue into violet, indigo and teal tones. Nothing electronic is involved, the flip is built into the film itself.

The base read is a rich metallic blue. From there it shifts toward violet and a cool teal in raking light, with hints of indigo in the curves and edges. Body lines, fenders and bumpers all catch the angle differently, so the car shows several of these tones at once.

Yes. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the channels let trapped air escape and help you avoid bubbles while you work. You can run a dry or wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Take your time on curves and use gentle heat to set it, and a patient first-timer can get a clean result.

Hand washing is best. Use a soft mitt, a gentle car shampoo and clean water, then dry with a microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and automatic brush washes. Rinse off bird droppings and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the film, and a garage-kept car will hold its galactic flip looking fresh for years.

On sound factory paint, yes. With a little warmth the film lifts away and pulls its adhesive with it, so you are left with the original paint rather than a sticky mess. That is the big advantage over paint, you can switch back or move to a new color whenever you like.

The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers full panels with room to wrap edges. A compact car usually needs around 15 to 18 meters, a sedan around 18 to 20, and larger SUVs and trucks more. Measure your panels and add extra for mistakes and complex curves, and order a little spare so you are not short mid-install.
