Metallic Galactic Blue Color-Shift Car Wrap | Chameleon Vinyl
$170.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Galactic Blue

Metallic Galactic Blue does not sit still. Park in the sun and it reads as a deep ocean blue with a fine metallic sparkle. Roll into shade or catch the light at an angle and the panels slide toward violet, indigo and a cool teal glow. The color-shift effect comes alive every time you move around the car, so no two photos of it ever look quite the same.

This is a real chameleon color wrap, not a coat of paint. The film lays a fresh galactic finish over your factory paint while sealing it from sun, grit and the small scuffs of daily driving. When you are ready for a new look it peels back off, leaving the original paint where it started.

Key features

  • Color shifts as you move: layered pigment flips the shade with the viewing angle and the light, so the car looks alive in motion and never the same in two photos.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the color shift on this Galactic Blue wrap?

It is a chameleon film, so the pigment reflects different colors depending on the angle you view it from and the light hitting it. As you walk around the car or as the sun moves, Galactic Blue travels from a deep ocean blue into violet, indigo and teal tones. Nothing electronic is involved, the flip is built into the film itself.

What colors will I actually see on my car?

The base read is a rich metallic blue. From there it shifts toward violet and a cool teal in raking light, with hints of indigo in the curves and edges. Body lines, fenders and bumpers all catch the angle differently, so the car shows several of these tones at once.

Will this wrap damage my paint or protect it?

It protects it. The vinyl sits on top of your factory paint and shields it from sun, light grit and the small scuffs of everyday driving. Healthy, well bonded factory paint stays safe underneath, and the wrap takes the daily wear instead of your clear coat.

How is a color-shift wrap different from a custom paint job?

A real color-flip paint job is one of the most expensive jobs a body shop can do, and once it is on, changing it means stripping and respraying. This wrap gives you the same head-turning flip for a fraction of the cost, it goes on far faster, and it comes off when you want a change. Your original paint stays intact the whole time.

Can I install this myself?

Yes. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the channels let trapped air escape and help you avoid bubbles while you work. You can run a dry or wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Take your time on curves and use gentle heat to set it, and a patient first-timer can get a clean result.

How do I wash and care for the wrap?

Hand washing is best. Use a soft mitt, a gentle car shampoo and clean water, then dry with a microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and automatic brush washes. Rinse off bird droppings and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the film, and a garage-kept car will hold its galactic flip looking fresh for years.

Does the wrap come off cleanly later?

On sound factory paint, yes. With a little warmth the film lifts away and pulls its adhesive with it, so you are left with the original paint rather than a sticky mess. That is the big advantage over paint, you can switch back or move to a new color whenever you like.

How much film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers full panels with room to wrap edges. A compact car usually needs around 15 to 18 meters, a sedan around 18 to 20, and larger SUVs and trucks more. Measure your panels and add extra for mistakes and complex curves, and order a little spare so you are not short mid-install.
