GT Silver is a clean, race-bred silver with fine metal flake woven through the color layer. In the shade it reads as a calm, deep silver with real depth. Roll into direct sun and the flake wakes up, throwing tiny points of sparkle across every panel and adding a liquid shimmer as the light moves over the body.
This is a full color-change wrap, not paint. It lays a glossy metallic finish over your car while the film and its adhesive sit on top of the factory paint, taking the daily hits from grit, light scratches, and washing instead of your clearcoat. When you want a change, it comes back off and your original paint is still there underneath.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metal flake actually do on GT Silver?
The flake is mixed into the color layer of the film, so it catches and bounces light. In flat or shaded light GT Silver looks like a smooth, deep silver. Under direct sun the flake lights up and gives the panel a fine sparkle and a sense of motion as you walk around the car. It is the same effect you see on a factory metallic paint, built into the vinyl.
Does GT Silver have a rough or grainy texture?
No. The flake sits inside the film, not on the surface, so the top of the wrap is smooth and glossy to the touch. You see the sparkle but you feel a slick gloss face, the same as you would on any clean glossy panel.
Will wrapping my car damage the paint underneath?
A wrap does the opposite. The GT Silver film and its air-release adhesive cover your factory paint and take the daily wear from grit, light scratches, and washing instead of your clearcoat. On healthy, well-bonded factory paint it removes cleanly later. The main thing to avoid is wrapping over peeling, repainted, or already failing paint.
How is a GT Silver wrap different from a metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray means sanding, paint booth time, and a big bill, and if you scratch it the repair is slow and costly. A GT Silver wrap gives you a fresh metallic look for far less, goes on much faster, protects the paint you already paid for, and peels off when you want a different color or your stock paint back. A respray is permanent. This is not.
How do I wash and care for GT Silver?
Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH-neutral car soap, then dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh brushes and stay off the high-pressure tips up close at the edges. Wipe off fuel, bird mess, and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the finish. Treated this way the gloss and the flake stay bright, and a wrap kept in a garage will hold up longer than one parked in the sun all day.
Can I install GT Silver myself?
Yes, this film is made for hands-on installs. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the channels in the glue let trapped air escape and let you reposition the panel before you commit. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat and gently curved panels like doors, the hood, and the roof are very DIY friendly. Deep recesses and bumpers take more heat and patience, so first-timers often start there last.
Does GT Silver remove cleanly when I am done?
On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a heat gun and pull it back slowly at a low angle so it lifts in large pieces. Any light adhesive left behind comes off with a proper adhesive remover. Removing it does not undo the protection it gave your paint while it was on.
How much GT Silver film do I need for my car?
It depends on the size of the vehicle and how much you are wrapping. As a rough guide, a small car needs around 50 to 55 feet for a full wrap, a sedan around 60 to 65 feet, and a large SUV or truck more. GT Silver comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths, so order a little extra for mistakes, recuts, and wrapping around edges.
