Njstar Blue Metallic Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl

Njstar Blue is a deep, glossy blue with fine metal flake worked into the color layer. Park it in the shade and it reads as a rich, almost ink-like blue. Roll it into direct sun and the flake wakes up, scattering tiny points of light across every panel so the body looks like it is moving even when the car is still. The curves on your hood and doors catch the light differently as you walk around the car, which is the whole point of a metallic finish.
This is a color-change wrap, not a paint job and not a protective film either. It lays over your factory paint and seals it away from sun, light scuffs, bird mess, and the small daily marks that dull a finish over time. When you want a change or a fresh look, it comes off and your original paint is still underneath. You get the look of a custom metallic blue without touching the paint you already paid for.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on Njstar Blue?
The flake sits inside the blue color layer and reflects light back at you. In shade you see a deep, even blue. In sun the tiny flakes light up and give the paint a sparkle and a sense of depth that a flat solid blue cannot match. The effect shifts as the light and your viewing angle change.
Is the surface textured or smooth?
It is smooth. The flake is sealed under the glossy top layer, so Njstar Blue feels slick and even to the touch like normal gloss paint. The sparkle is something you see, not something you feel.
Will wrapping hurt my paint, or does it protect it?
A proper wrap protects the paint underneath. Njstar Blue covers your factory finish and shields it from sun, light abrasion, and daily grime. It uses an air-release adhesive made to come off cleanly later, so on sound factory paint it guards the surface rather than harming it.
How is this different from a real metallic blue respray?
A true metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes your car off the road for days, and is hard to match if a panel ever gets damaged. Njstar Blue gives you a similar deep, sparkling blue for far less money, goes on faster, leaves your original paint intact, and can be removed when you want a different look.
How do I wash and care for it?
Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH-neutral car shampoo, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes. Wipe off fuel, bird droppings, and bug splatter quickly so they do not sit on the surface. A wrap that lives in a garage out of constant sun will keep its gloss and flake longer.
Can I install Njstar Blue myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped bubbles push out to the edges instead of staying under the film, which makes laying flat panels much more forgiving. You can install dry or wet. Tight curves, recesses, and bumpers take patience and heat, so plan extra film for first attempts.
Does it remove cleanly later?
On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a heat source and peel it back slowly at a low angle. The air-release adhesive is designed to lift without leaving heavy residue. Any light glue left behind comes off with an adhesive remover and a microfiber cloth.
How much film do I need for my car?
A small coupe or hatch usually needs around the 59ft (18m) roll for a full wrap, while accents, roofs, mirrors, and partial jobs can be done from the 30ft (9m) roll. Add extra for practice, curved panels, and mistakes. When in doubt, size up so you are not joining film mid-panel.
