Metallic Pearl Purple Car Wrap | Pearlescent Gloss Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Metallic Pearl Purple sits at that rare intersection of subtle and show-stopping. Under direct sunlight it reads as a deep, luminous violet. Shift the angle even slightly and the pearlescent micro-particles catch the light and push the color toward a cool silver-lilac, then back again as you move. No factory paint option comes close to that kind of depth without a custom specialist job costing thousands of dollars.
This gloss vinyl wraps directly over your factory paint, shielding it from everyday scuffs, road grime, and UV while you enjoy a finish that looks completely bespoke. If your plans change, it removes cleanly and your original paint is exactly where you left it.

Frequently asked questions
What does the pearl effect actually look like on a car?
The film contains tiny pearlescent particles suspended in the PVC face layer. In flat or overcast light the car reads as a rich, saturated purple. When sunlight or artificial light hits the surface at an angle, those particles scatter the light and the color lifts toward a cool silver-lilac. The shift is continuous, not a hard color-flip, so the car looks different from every position around it.
Will this wrap protect my factory paint?
Yes. The vinyl layer sits over your paint and takes the daily wear instead: light scratches from brushes, dust, road grime, and UV exposure hit the film rather than the clear coat. It is not a PPF and will not absorb hard stone chips or deep gouges, but for everyday cosmetic protection it does a solid job while you enjoy the pearl color effect.
How does this compare to getting a custom pearl paint job?
A professional custom pearl paint in this depth and quality typically runs several thousand dollars, takes weeks of body-shop time, and is permanent. If you ever want to change it, that means a full respray. This wrap delivers the same pearlescent violet shimmer at a fraction of the price, installs in a day or two, and comes off cleanly when you want a different look or need to sell the car. Your factory paint stays untouched the entire time.
How do I wash and care for a gloss pearl wrap?
A gloss finish is low-maintenance compared to matte. Standard hand washing with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft microfiber mitt works well. Avoid harsh degreasers and abrasive compounds. Touchless automatic washes are generally fine; brush-type washes carry some risk of fine marring over time. Dry with a clean microfiber towel rather than letting water spots dry on the surface, as minerals can dull the gloss in that area.
Can I install this myself?
Many buyers do install at home. The air-release adhesive gives you a repositioning window so you can lift and re-lay the film before it sets fully. That said, large panels like hoods and roofs have a learning curve. If this is your first wrap, start with smaller flat panels to get a feel for the material. The dry install method works well for experienced hands; wet install gives beginners more time to adjust position.
Will it remove cleanly when I am done?
Yes, provided the underlying paint is in good condition and the wrap has not been left on for an unusually long time in extreme sun. The Henkel acrylic adhesive is formulated to release without tearing or leaving heavy residue. Gentle heat from a heat gun softens the adhesive and makes removal straightforward. Any small adhesive trace left behind cleans up with an adhesive remover.
How much film do I need for a full car wrap?
A standard mid-size sedan or hatchback typically needs around 50 to 60 feet (roughly 15 to 17 meters) of film at standard roll width. Larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks can need 65 to 80 feet. If you are doing a partial wrap, such as a hood and roof only, 15 to 20 feet usually covers it. When in doubt, order a little extra. Trying to match a second order to the exact same production batch is not always possible with pearl finishes.
Does the pearl shimmer look the same indoors as it does in sunlight?
The effect shifts noticeably depending on the light source. In direct sunlight the violet is deepest and the silver-lilac shift is most dramatic. Indoors under artificial lighting the pearl particles still catch the light but the shift is subtler, and the base purple reads a little darker and richer. Many owners actually prefer how it looks under warm indoor or garage lighting where it takes on a jewel-like quality.
