Gloss Red metallic is a deep, glossy red built on a layer of fine metal flake. In shade it reads as a clean rich red with a soft shine. Roll it into direct sun and the flake wakes up, scattering tiny points of light across every curve so the panel looks like it has real depth instead of a flat coat. The result is a candy-shop red that shifts as you walk around the car.
This is a color-change wrap, not a coating you brush on. The film lays over your factory paint and seals it off from sun, light scratches, bird mess, and the small daily knocks that dull a finish over time. When you want to go back to stock, it peels away and leaves the original paint as it was underneath.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on this red?
The fine metal flake sits in the color layer and catches light from different angles. In flat shade the Gloss Red looks deep and even. In sun the flake sparkles and gives the red a sense of depth you do not get from a plain solid color. It is what makes a metallic red look like a metallic red instead of a flat sticker.
Does the surface feel rough or textured?
No. Even though there is metal flake inside the film, the flake sits in the color layer under a smooth gloss face film. The top surface is flat and glossy to the touch. You see the sparkle, you do not feel it.
How does Gloss Red look in sun versus shade?
In shade it settles into a rich, clean red with a glossy shine. In direct sun the flake lights up and adds bright pinpoints across the panels, so the same red can look calm in a garage and lively on the road. Walking around the car in daylight is when the metallic effect shows off most.
Will this wrap damage my paint or protect it?
It protects it. The film covers your factory paint and takes the sun, light scratches, and grime that would otherwise hit the clear coat. As long as your paint is healthy and well stuck down before you wrap, the film comes off cleanly later and the paint underneath stays in the condition you wrapped it in.
Is a Gloss Red wrap better than a custom metallic respray?
For most people, yes. A real metallic-flake respray in red is expensive, takes your car off the road for days, is hard to spot repair, and is permanent. This wrap costs far less, goes on faster, protects the original paint instead of replacing it, and peels off when you want a change. You get the metallic red look without the commitment of paint.
How do I wash and care for the wrap?
Hand wash with a mild soap and a soft mitt, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber cloth. Skip harsh brushes and aggressive automatic washes. Clean off bird mess and bugs quickly so they do not sit on the gloss. Treated well it lasts for years, and a car kept in a garage out of constant sun will hold its shine longer.
Can I install this myself?
You can. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the air channels in the liner let you push bubbles out and reposition the film while you work instead of fighting trapped air. It supports both dry and wet installs. A wrap is still patient work, especially around bumpers and mirrors, but a careful DIYer with the right tools and time can get a clean result.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on your vehicle size. The wrap comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. A small car or a partial job like a roof or hood can work from the shorter roll, while a full wrap on a sedan or larger vehicle usually needs the 59ft length, plus a little extra for mistakes and complex curves. Measure your panels and add margin before you order.
