Midnight Red Metallic Car Wrap | Gloss Vinyl

Midnight Red is a deep, dark red with fine metal flake worked into the color layer. In the shade it reads almost like a rich wine red, calm and serious. Roll it into direct sun and the flake wakes up, throwing tiny sparkles across the panel and lifting the red into something brighter and alive. The look shifts as you walk around the car, so the same panel never sits flat.
This is a full color-change wrap, not a coating you brush on. The film lays over your existing paint and seals it from sun, light grit, road film, and the small marks of daily driving. Your factory finish stays sealed underneath, untouched and ready for the day you want a different look. With good care a gloss metallic wrap holds its shine for years, and a car kept in a garage will hold it even longer.

Key features
- Deep metallic sparkle: fine metal flake runs through the color layer, so the finish reads rich in the shade and glints with sparkle in direct sun.
- Glossy depth: a clear topcoat over the flake gives a wet, glossy shine with real depth, the same look factory metallic paint gets from flake in the basecoat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do on Midnight Red?
Fine metal flake sits inside the color layer, so the red picks up and bounces light instead of soaking it in. In shade Midnight Red looks deep and almost wine-toned. In sun the flake sparkles and the red brightens. That shift between light and shade is the whole point of a metallic finish.
Does the surface feel rough or textured?
No. The flake is in the color layer under a smooth gloss face film, so Midnight Red feels slick and glassy to the touch. You see the sparkle, you do not feel it. The top surface is as smooth as any gloss wrap.
Will wrapping hurt my paint or actually protect it?
A proper wrap protects the paint it covers. Midnight Red lays over your factory finish and shields it from sun, light grit, and road film. The paint stays sealed underneath. When the film comes off later the original paint is still there, which is why wraps are popular for keeping a car clean for resale.
How is a Midnight Red wrap different from a metallic respray?
A real metallic-flake respray is expensive, takes the car off the road for days, and is hard to match if you ever need a repair. This wrap gives you the same deep metallic red for far less, goes on faster, peels off when you want a change, and leaves your factory paint untouched the whole time.
How do I wash and care for the wrap?
Hand wash with a plain pH-neutral car soap and a soft mitt, then rinse and dry with a microfiber towel. Skip harsh solvents and stiff brushes. Get bugs, fuel splashes, and bird droppings off quickly so they do not sit on the gloss. A car kept out of constant sun and parked in a garage will hold its shine longer.
Can I install Midnight Red myself?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the tiny channels in the glue let trapped air escape and help you reposition as you work instead of fighting instant bubbles. You can install dry or wet. Take your time on curves and use gentle heat to set it, and the first panel will teach you the rest.
Does the wrap come off cleanly later?
When you are ready for a change, the film is made to peel off in one go. Warm the panel gently, lift a corner, and pull it back slowly at a low angle. Done with care on sound factory paint, it comes away clean and leaves your original finish ready for whatever is next.
How much film do I need for my car?
A small two-door usually needs around 50 to 55 feet, a normal sedan around 60 to 65 feet, and a large SUV or truck more. Measure your panels first and add a little for mistakes and practice. This comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll options, so you can mix lengths to match your project.
