Pearl Purple Car Wrap | Pearlescent Gloss Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Pearl Purple is a deep violet gloss wrap with a pearlescent shimmer that shifts between rich plum and a soft, luminous lavender as the light changes around the car. In direct sun the color reads bold and saturated. Under overcast skies or at dusk it takes on a cooler, almost iridescent glow that draws a second look from every angle. No two viewings look exactly the same, and that is the whole point.
Beneath that visual effect, the wrap does real work. It covers your factory paint in a layer of polymeric PVC that shields it from road grime and everyday scuffs. When you are ready for a new look or want to sell the car, it peels off cleanly and leaves the original paint underneath untouched. Getting that same pearl-shift color from a custom paint shop is expensive, permanent, and nearly impossible to repair without a full respray. This wrap gives you the effect for a fraction of the cost, and you keep your options open.

Key features
- Pearlescent shimmer shifts from deep plum to cool lavender depending on viewing angle and light conditions — a live color effect that paint cannot replicate affordably.
- Gloss finish with 90-micron polymeric PVC face film (3.7–4.1 mil total) for a smooth, paint-like surface that holds the shimmer with clarity.
- Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive (1.6 mil) lets you slide, reposition, and smooth the film without trapping air bubbles during install.
- Rated from -30°C to +140°C so the wrap stays stable through cold winters, hot parking lots, and everything in between.
- Compatible with dry or wet install methods — experienced wrappers can choose the technique that suits the panel complexity.
- Shields factory paint from daily wear and removes cleanly when you are ready for a change, leaving the original finish intact.

Frequently asked questions
What does the pearlescent effect actually look like on a full car?
The wrap reads as a deep, saturated purple when you look straight at it in bright light. As you walk around the car, or as the light angle shifts from morning to evening, the surface catches a soft shimmer that pulls toward cooler lavender and sometimes a faint blue-violet at the edges of panels. It is not a glitter effect. The shimmer is smooth and fluid, like a factory-grade pearl paint but with noticeably more depth and shift.
Will the wrap protect my paint?
Yes, in the way a cosmetic wrap is designed to. The polymeric PVC layer sits between your factory paint and the outside world, taking the minor hits from road grime, surface scuffs, and everyday contact that would otherwise mark the clear coat. When you remove it, the factory paint underneath is preserved.
How does this compare to getting a custom pearl paint job?
A true pearl or color-shift paint effect from a quality body shop costs several thousand dollars, is permanent, and is very difficult to touch up if it gets damaged. Pearl Purple vinyl wraps your car in the same visual effect for a fraction of that investment. It is reversible, so you can change the color later without affecting resale value. And if one panel gets damaged, you replace that section of film rather than respraying the whole car.
How do I wash and care for a gloss pearlescent wrap?
Gloss is the most forgiving finish to maintain. A regular hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo and a soft microfiber mitt is all it needs. Rinse well and dry with a clean microfiber towel to keep the shimmer looking sharp. Touchless automatic car washes are generally fine. Avoid brush-style car washes and high-pressure jets aimed directly at panel edges, as these can lift the film over time.
Can I install this myself?
Experienced DIY installers with some prior wrap experience can definitely work with this film. The Henkel air-release adhesive gives you repositioning time and makes it much easier to get a smooth, bubble-free result. If this is your first time wrapping a car, start with a flat panel to get a feel for the film before moving to curves and bumpers. The pearlescent face film shows waves and wrinkles more readily than a solid color, so clean, smooth pulls matter.
Will it remove cleanly when I am done?
Yes. Warm the film gently with a heat gun and peel at a low angle. The adhesive is designed to release from factory paint without leaving residue, provided the paint is in good condition and properly cured before install. Wraps left on for a very long time or applied over damaged paint may be harder to remove cleanly, so it is worth keeping that in mind.
How much film do I need for a full car wrap?
A full wrap on a standard sedan typically needs around 60 to 75 feet (roughly 18 to 23 meters) of film. Larger vehicles like SUVs, trucks, or vans need more. It is always worth ordering a little extra to account for trimming, overlaps on panel edges, and any sections you need to redo. If you are unsure, our product page includes a size guide and you can reach out to us before ordering.
Does the color look different in photos versus real life?
Pearl and pearlescent effects are notoriously hard to capture accurately in photos because the shimmer is driven by light angle and movement. Flat, static images tend to show the base purple clearly but undersell the shift. In person, the color changes as you move around the car, which makes it appear much more dynamic and alive than any photo can fully convey. If you want to see the effect before committing, order a sample swatch and hold it under different lighting conditions.
