Tanager Blue Gloss Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Tanager Blue is a bright, saturated blue with a wet, mirror-like gloss that reads almost painted on. It catches light like a fresh respray, going deep and rich in shade and lighting up electric under the sun. If you want a bold blue that turns heads without committing to a permanent paint job, this is the shade.
Under the shine, this is a polymeric PVC film that wraps right over your existing panels. It takes the daily hits your factory paint would otherwise eat, the road grime, light scratches, sun, and bird mess, so the paint underneath stays protected. When you are ready for a new look, it comes off and your original finish is still there.

Key features
- Painted-on gloss finish: a mirror-gloss topcoat gives the deep wet-paint shine without the cost of a respray.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the gloss topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.
- Easy to keep clean: wipes down and washes like paint, with no special care needed.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Tanager Blue gloss wrap last?
With normal care a gloss wrap like this holds its shine for years. The biggest factor is where the car sleeps. A Tanager Blue wrap that lives in a garage stays bright far longer than one parked outside in full sun every day. Regular gentle washing and keeping it out of harsh weather both add life to the finish.
Will the wrap damage my paint, or actually protect it?
It protects it. The film sits over your factory paint and takes the road grime, light scratches, sun, and bird droppings that would otherwise land on the paint itself. As long as your original paint is in good condition and fully cured, the Tanager Blue wrap shields it and then peels away cleanly when you want a change.
How is a gloss wrap different from getting my car resprayed blue?
A respray is permanent, takes your car off the road for days, and often costs a lot more. A Tanager Blue gloss wrap gives you that same deep painted-on blue, goes on faster, costs less, and comes back off later. It also keeps your factory paint underneath, which matters at resale. If you change your mind down the road, you are not stuck with the color.
How much film do I need for my car?
The film is 1.52m (5ft) wide and comes in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, the 6m roll suits small jobs like a roof, hood, or mirrors. A full small to mid-size car usually needs around 18m, and larger vehicles or anyone wanting extra for mistakes should go with the 23m roll. When in doubt size up, since seams match better when you cut from one continuous length of Tanager Blue.
Can I install this Tanager Blue wrap myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the air channels let you push out bubbles and reposition while you work instead of fighting trapped air. You can go dry or wet. Take your time on curves, use heat to ease the film into shape, and work clean. A second pair of hands helps on big panels.
Does the wrap come off cleanly later?
It does. When you are ready for a new look, warm the Tanager Blue film with gentle heat and peel it back slowly at a low angle. On healthy factory paint it lifts away without taking the finish with it. Any light adhesive left behind wipes off with a proper adhesive remover.
How do I wash and care for it?
Treat it like good paint. Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH-neutral car shampoo, rinse well, and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh brushes and avoid aggressive automatic car washes. Clear bird droppings and bug splatter as soon as you spot them so they do not sit on the gloss. Good habits keep Tanager Blue looking wet and fresh.
Will the gloss fade over time?
Sun is the main enemy of any blue finish. This film handles a wide temperature range from -30 to +140 C and is built to hold its gloss, but like a respray it lasts longest when it is not baking in direct sun all day. Park in the shade or a garage when you can and wash gently, and the Tanager Blue stays deep and bright for years.
