Peacock Green Liquid Metal Car Wrap | Metallic Vinyl

Peacock Green sits right between deep blue and rich green, the way real peacock feathers shift as they catch the light. In the shade it reads as a moody dark teal with depth you want to keep looking at. Roll into direct sun and the fine metal flake wakes up, throwing a bright mirror-like glow that gives the whole panel a wet, liquid shine. This is the high-shine Liquid Metal finish, so the reflection is sharp and the color feels alive as you move around the car.
It is a color-change vinyl wrap, not paint. The film lays over your existing panels and changes the look completely, while the layer underneath shields your factory paint from sun, light scuffs, and the grit of daily driving. When you want a different look later, it comes back off and your original paint is still there.

Key features
- Liquid-metal shine: a high-shine metallic surface that reads almost reflective, throwing a bright mirror-like glow in the sun and catching light at night.
- Deep flake color: fine metal flake under the topcoat gives the color real depth, so it never looks flat.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out for a clean, flat lay you can reposition.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.

Frequently asked questions
What does the metallic flake actually do in this Peacock Green?
The flake is fine metal mixed right into the color layer. It catches and bounces light, so the green shifts from a deep shaded teal to a bright reflective shine in the sun. That movement is what gives Liquid Metal its almost mirror-like, wet look that a flat color can never match.
Does the surface feel rough or is it smooth?
It is smooth to the touch. The metal flake is sealed inside the film, so you get the sparkle in the light without any grit or texture on the surface. Running your hand over a wrapped panel feels just like a smooth painted one.
Will wrapping hurt my paint, or does it protect it?
On healthy factory paint it does the opposite of harm. The vinyl sits on top and shields the paint underneath from sun, road grime, and light surface scuffs from daily driving. When you remove it later the original paint is still there. The one thing to check first is that your existing paint is sound, since wrap should not go over flaking or peeling clear coat.
How is a Peacock Green wrap different from a real metallic respray?
A true metallic-flake respray in this kind of color is expensive, takes your car off the road for a long time, and is hard to repair or undo if you change your mind. This wrap gets you the same deep flake look for far less, goes on much faster, leaves your factory paint safe underneath, and peels off cleanly when you want a change.
How do I wash and care for it?
Treat it gently. Hand wash with a mild car soap and a soft mitt, rinse well, and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh brushes and automatic car washes, and wipe off bird droppings or fuel spills quickly. Avoid pressure washing close to the edges. Cared for this way and kept in a garage when you can, the finish holds its shine for years.
Can I install this myself with the air-release adhesive?
Yes, many DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive has air-release channels, so trapped bubbles can be pushed out to the edge instead of leaving you stuck. It works dry or wet. A patient first-timer can wrap flat and gently curved panels with a squeegee and a heat gun. Deep recesses and tight curves take more practice, so start with simpler panels.
Does it come off cleanly later?
Yes. When removed with a little warmth and a steady angle, the film lifts off and leaves your factory paint intact. That clean reversibility is the whole point of a color-change wrap versus a permanent respray. Any light adhesive residue wipes away with a safe adhesive remover.
How much film do I need for my car?
It depends on the size of your vehicle and whether you are doing a full wrap or just a few panels. The film comes in 30ft (9m) and 59ft (18m) roll lengths. A full small car usually needs a roll in the larger range, while a hood, roof, or mirror caps can be done with a much shorter length. Measure the panels you plan to cover and add some extra for trimming and curves.
