Macaron is the soft pastel candy shade you keep coming back to. It pours a gentle, sweet-toned gloss over your panels, the kind of pale color that reads playful in daylight and turns mirror-smooth under a clean coat of light. Park it next to a sea of black and silver cars and Macaron is the one people walk over to look at.

It is a true color change, not just a fresh look. The gloss film lays a wet-looking layer of color over your panels and seals the factory paint away from sun, grit, road film, and the small scuffs of daily driving. When you are ready for something new, it comes off and your original paint is still under there.

Key features

  • Painted-on gloss finish: a mirror-gloss topcoat gives the deep wet-paint shine without the cost of a respray.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the gloss topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.
  • Easy to keep clean: wipes down and washes like paint, with no special care needed.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Macaron gloss wrap last?

With normal care a Macaron wrap holds its soft pastel gloss for years. Sun is the main thing that ages any wrap, so a car that sleeps in a garage or under cover will keep that candy shine looking fresh much longer than one that bakes in full sun every day. Regular gentle washing helps it last too.

Will a Macaron wrap damage my paint, or protect it?

It protects it. The Macaron film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the daily hits instead, the sun, the road grime, the light brush marks from washing. As long as your original paint is healthy and well stuck down before you wrap, the film shields it and then peels away cleanly later.

Macaron gloss wrap or a respray, which should I pick?

A respray in a soft pastel like this gets expensive fast and it is permanent. Wrapping in Macaron costs less, goes on faster, gives you a clean color change, and keeps your real paint safe underneath. If you ever want to sell the car or switch colors, you just remove the wrap. A respray gives you none of that flexibility.

How much Macaron film do I need for my car?

The film comes on 1.52m (5ft) wide rolls in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. A small car or a hatch usually takes around 15m, a sedan often lands near 18m, and a large SUV or truck can run up to 23m or more. Buying one continuous length helps the Macaron color stay even across panels, so size up if you are unsure.

Can I install Macaron myself?

Yes, plenty of people do. The Henkel air-release adhesive has channels that let trapped air escape as you squeegee, so you get fewer bubbles and you can lift and reposition while you work. You can go dry or wet. Take your time on curves and recesses, warm the film with a heat gun to shape it, and a clean indoor space makes a big difference on a light color like Macaron.

Does the Macaron wrap come off cleanly?

It does. When you want a change, warm the film gently and pull it back at a low angle and the Macaron vinyl lifts off the panel. Healthy factory paint is left as it was. Any small bit of adhesive left behind wipes away with a proper adhesive remover.

How do I wash and care for my Macaron wrap?

Treat it like good paint. Hand wash with a soft mitt and a pH neutral car soap, rinse well, and dry with a clean microfiber towel. Skip harsh brushes and automatic car washes with stiff bristles. On a pale color like Macaron, clean off bug splatter, sap, and bird mess quickly so nothing has time to stain the gloss.

Will the Macaron gloss fade over time?

The gloss is built to hold its shine and its soft pastel tone through normal driving and weather, rated from -30 to +140 C. Like any colored surface, long stretches of harsh direct sun are what wear a finish down over time, so keeping it garaged or covered when you can will keep Macaron looking bright and glossy for longer.
