Ceramic Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl

Ceramic is a soft, stone-like matte. It reads as a cool neutral gray with a clean flat surface that swallows light instead of bouncing it back, so the body lines look calm and sculpted rather than shiny. In sun it stays muted and even. In shade it goes deep and quiet. It is the kind of finish that makes a car look custom without shouting about it.
This is a color wrap, not a coating. The polymeric PVC film lays over your existing paint and gives you the full flat Ceramic look while the factory finish underneath stays sealed away from sun, light grime, and the small daily marks that dull paint over time. When you want your old color back, the film comes off and the paint is still there.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Ceramic matte wrap last?
With normal care a Ceramic wrap holds its flat gray look for years. Heat, sun, and harsh washing are what age any wrap, so a car kept in a garage or under cover will keep that clean matte surface noticeably longer than one parked outside all day. Gentle hand washing does most of the work to keep it looking new.
Will wrapping my car in Ceramic damage the paint?
No. The film sits on top of your factory paint and actually shields it from sun, light grime, and the small scuffs of daily driving. As long as the original paint is in sound condition before the wrap goes on, the Ceramic film protects what is underneath rather than harming it.
Ceramic matte wrap or a matte respray, which makes more sense?
A wrap is the easier call for most people. A matte respray is expensive, permanent, and very hard to repair because matte paint cannot just be polished back to match. This Ceramic wrap costs far less, goes on faster, keeps your factory paint safe underneath, and peels off when you want a change. You get the flat custom look without committing to new paint.
How do I wash and care for a Ceramic matte wrap?
This is the most important thing to get right. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff a matte wrap. Those create shiny spots that ruin the flat Ceramic finish and cannot be undone. Hand wash with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush car washes, and rinse clean. If fuel splashes, bird mess, or bug splatter lands on it, wipe it off quickly before it sits.
Can I install the Ceramic wrap myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so trapped air pushes out through tiny channels instead of leaving bubbles, which makes laying it down much more forgiving. You can install dry or wet. Flat panels like doors and hood are very beginner friendly. Deep curves and recesses take patience and a little heat, so take your time on those.
Does the Ceramic wrap come off cleanly later?
Yes. When you are ready to remove it, the film peels away and the acrylic adhesive is made to release without tearing up your factory paint. A little gentle heat helps it lift smoothly. That clean removal is the whole point of a wrap. Your original paint is waiting underneath in the same shape it went on.
Will the Ceramic finish stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat if you treat it as a matte finish. The film is built with a non-reflective surface, and the only thing that turns matte shiny is rubbing it with wax, polish, or a buffer, or letting an automatic brush wash scuff it. Hand wash it, keep wax and polish away, and the Ceramic gray stays evenly matte.
How much Ceramic film do I need for my car?
The film comes on rolls 1.52m (5ft) wide in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or partial job often works from the 18m roll, while a full wrap on a sedan or SUV usually calls for the 23m length to cover panels, mirrors, and trim with some margin for error. If you are new to wrapping, order a little extra so you have room to redo a panel.
