Ceramic Black Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl

Ceramic Black reads as a deep, even black with no shine to it. The flat matte surface drinks in the light instead of bouncing it back, so the panels look smooth and solid rather than glossy. It is the stealth, blacked-out look people chase, the kind of finish that makes a car look like one clean shadow rolling down the street.
This is a color wrap, not a coating you spray on. The film lays over your existing panels and takes the daily hits for them, so road grime, light scratches, and sun exposure land on the vinyl instead of your factory paint. When you are ready for a change, it comes back off and the original finish is still there underneath.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Ceramic Black matte wrap last?
With good care it holds its flat black look for years. Heat, harsh sun, and automatic brush washes are what wear any matte film down fastest, so a car that lives in a garage or under cover will keep that clean stealth finish longer than one parked outside all day. Gentle hand washing goes a long way.
Will the wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The Ceramic Black film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the daily wear for it, so small scratches, grime, and sun exposure hit the vinyl instead of the clear coat. As long as your original paint is healthy when it goes on, removal later leaves it in good shape.
How is this different from getting a matte black respray?
A matte respray is permanent, pricey, and genuinely hard to repair since matte paint cannot be polished out like gloss can. Ceramic Black wrap gives you that same flat blacked-out look for less, it goes on faster, it shields the paint you already paid for, and you can peel it off down the road instead of being locked into it.
How do I wash and care for a Ceramic Black matte wrap?
This is the big one for matte. Never wax, polish, or machine buff it, because any of those will leave shiny patches that ruin the flat finish. Hand wash with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush car washes, and wipe off fuel splashes or bird mess quickly before they sit. Treat it gently and the black stays deep and even.
Can I install Ceramic Black myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the air channels let you lay it down and push bubbles out instead of fighting them. You can run a dry or wet install. Flat panels are friendly for first-timers, and a heat gun plus patience handles the curves.
Does Ceramic Black come off cleanly when I want it gone?
It does. Warm the panel gently and peel the film back at a low angle and it lifts away. Because the wrap has been guarding your factory paint the whole time, what is underneath is the same finish you started with, ready for a fresh wrap or just left as is.
Will it stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat as long as you care for it the matte way. Shiny spots on any matte wrap come from waxing, polishing, buffing, or scrubbing too hard in one area. Avoid all of that, hand wash gently, and Ceramic Black keeps its even non-reflective look across every panel.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. A small job like a roof, hood, or mirror caps can work from the 6m roll. Most full cars land in the 18m range, and larger vehicles or anyone who wants extra for mistakes should go with 23m. When in doubt, size up so you are not short mid-install.
