Matte Chameleon Metallic Vinyl - wrapteck
$240.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Diamonds Gold to Orange

This is a matte color-shift wrap that swings from a warm metallic gold into a deep burnt orange as you walk around the car. Catch it in low sun and it glows gold. Turn the corner or move into shade and it sinks into a rich orange with copper edges. The matte surface keeps the flip soft and moody instead of mirror-bright, so it reads more like a custom liquid-metal finish than a flashy gloss. No two angles look the same.

Beyond the look, the film does real work. It lays over your factory paint and takes the daily hits for it: light scuffs, road grime, sun, and wash swirl. When you are ready for a change it comes back off, so your original paint stays protected underneath the whole time.

Key features

  • Color shifts as you move: layered pigment flips the shade with the viewing angle and the light, so the car looks alive in motion and never the same in two photos.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

What colors does this wrap actually shift between?

It travels between a warm metallic gold and a deep burnt orange. Straight-on and in bright light it leans gold. As the angle steepens or the light drops it shifts into orange with copper undertones at the edges. The two tones blend across the curves of the car so panels never look flat.

How does the color-shift effect work and what triggers it?

The flip is driven by the viewing angle and the light hitting it. The pigment layer bends light differently depending on where you stand and how strong the light is, so the gold and orange trade places as you move around the car or as the sun changes through the day. Nothing electronic, it is the film doing the work.

Is this a matte or a gloss finish, and how do I care for it?

This one is matte. Treat it gently. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff a matte wrap because those create shiny spots that you cannot undo. Hand wash only with a mild soap, rinse well, and pat dry with a soft microfiber. Skip automatic brush washes. Keep that simple and the matte gold to orange flip stays even across every panel.

Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?

It protects it. The film sits on top of your factory paint and shields it from sun, light scuffs, road grime, and wash swirls. Your original paint stays sealed underneath. On healthy factory paint it comes off cleanly when you want it gone, leaving the surface the way it started.

How is a color-shift wrap different from a custom gold-to-orange paint job?

A real multi-tone flip paint job is one of the most expensive and labor-heavy finishes you can buy, and if a panel gets damaged it is very hard to match and repair. This wrap gives you the same dramatic gold to orange shift for a fraction of the cost, it goes on far faster, it protects the paint you already have, and it peels off when you want something new. Paint is permanent. This is not.

Can I install this myself?

Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. It uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the channels in the glue let trapped air escape and help you push out bubbles as you work. You can run a dry or wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Take your time on curves and mirrors, use steady heat, and work panel by panel.

Does it remove cleanly later?

On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film gently and pull it back at a low angle and it lifts away. Any light adhesive trace wipes off with a proper adhesive remover. Because the wrap shielded the paint the whole time, what you uncover is your original finish.

How much film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers most panels in single runs. As a rough guide a small car needs around 15m, a sedan around 18m, and a large SUV or truck around 22m or more. Add extra for mirrors, door jambs, and learning curves, and always round up so you are not short mid-panel.
