Matte Diamonds Color Shift Vehicle Vinyl - wrapteck
$190.00 USD
1.52*6m(5*20ft) / Red Copper

The Diamond color-shift wrap throws a slow flicker of cool tones across your panels, the kind of crystalline glint that moves with you as the light and viewing angle change. Stand still and it reads one shade. Walk around the car or roll under a streetlight and it drifts into another, with a fine matte sparkle that keeps the whole body looking alive instead of flat. This is a chameleon wrap built for people who want the shifting color effect without a gloss mirror sheen.

Under the shimmer the film is working. It lays over your factory paint and absorbs the daily punishment that paint hates: light scuffs, road grit, sun fade, and wash swirls. Your original finish sits sealed and untouched underneath. When you want the car back to stock, the film lifts away cleanly.

Key features

  • Color shifts as you move: layered pigment changes shade with the viewing angle and the light, so the car looks different in motion than it does parked.
  • Matte diamond finish: the crystalline surface gives a deep sparkle without the mirror gloss, sitting somewhere between matte and metallic.
  • Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out so you get a clean, flat lay from the first pass.
  • Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
  • Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
  • Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
  • UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Diamond color-shift effect actually work?

The film carries layered pigments that bounce light differently depending on where you stand and how bright it is. As you move around the car the pigment layers catch different wavelengths and the color you see drifts. There is no electronics and no heat trigger, it is all in the angle and the light.

What finish is this, matte or gloss, and how do I care for it?

Diamond color-shift sits in matte territory. It has a crystalline sparkle but no mirror shine. For care that means no wax, no polish, and no machine buff, because those smooth out the texture and leave shiny patches you cannot fix. Hand wash only with a mild car soap, rinse well, and dry with a soft microfiber. Keep it away from automated brush washes.

Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?

It protects it. The wrap lays over your factory paint and takes the daily hits for it. Light scuffs, road grit, sun fade, and wash swirls hit the film, not the paint. When it comes off, your original finish is shielded and in the condition it went in.

How is a color-shift wrap different from a custom chameleon paint job?

A real chameleon paint job is one of the most expensive and labor-intensive finishes available, and if it gets damaged it is nearly impossible to match and repair to an invisible standard. This wrap gives you the same shifting color effect for a fraction of the cost, it goes on far faster, it protects what you have, and it comes off when you want something different.

Can I install this myself?

Yes. The air-release adhesive lets air escape through channels in the glue as you smooth the film down, so bubbles push out to the edges instead of trapping. You can run a dry or wet install depending on your preference. Take your time on bumpers, mirrors, and curves, use a heat gun for tight areas, and work panel by panel for the cleanest result.

Does it remove cleanly later?

On healthy factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a heat gun and pull at a low angle and it lifts away. Any light adhesive residue left behind wipes off with an adhesive remover. The paint underneath stays protected the whole time the wrap is on.

Does the color-shift work at night or only in sunlight?

The effect works any time you have directional light. Direct sun is the most dramatic because it is bright and comes from one direction. Streetlights, headlights, and parking lot lights all trigger the shift too, just at lower intensity. In flat overcast light the effect is softer.

How much film do I need for my car?

The roll is 1.52m (5ft) wide, which covers most panels in single runs. A compact car typically takes around 15m, a sedan around 18m, and a large SUV or truck around 22m or more. Always add extra for mirrors, door jambs, and any mistakes, and round up so you are not short mid-panel.
