Heavy Metal Graphite Black Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Heavy Metal Graphite Black is a deep charcoal graphite with a flat, non-reflective face. It reads darker and moodier than a plain black, with a soft metallic-grey undertone that shifts with the light instead of bouncing it back. No shine, no mirror, just a clean stealth surface that makes a car look heavier and more serious on the road.
The wrap goes on over your existing paint and stays there, so the graphite look you see is also a working layer. It takes the daily scuffs, light scratches, sun and grime that would otherwise hit the factory finish. When you want a change, it comes back off and leaves the paint you started with underneath.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long will a Heavy Metal Graphite Black wrap last?
With good care it holds its flat graphite look for years. The film handles heat and cold from -30 to +140 C, so weather is not the problem. What shortens any matte wrap is harsh sun and rough washing. A car kept in a garage and hand washed will keep that stealth charcoal finish noticeably longer than one parked outside all day.
Will the wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is made to hold firm while you drive and release cleanly when you want it off. While it is on, this graphite layer takes the light scratches, road grime and sun that would otherwise land on your factory paint. Many people wrap a car partly to keep the original finish clean underneath.
How is this different from a matte graphite respray?
A respray in a flat graphite color is one of the most expensive paint jobs you can buy, and matte paint is very hard to repair if it gets marked. This wrap gives you the same deep charcoal stealth look for less, it goes on faster, and it lifts off later without touching the paint below. A respray is permanent. This is not.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap without ruining it?
This is the one rule that matters most. Never wax, polish or machine-buff Heavy Metal Graphite Black. Those create shiny patches that wreck the flat finish and cannot be undone. Hand wash with a matte-safe car soap, skip the automatic brush tunnels, and rinse off fuel splashes, bird mess or bug splatter quickly before they sit. Treated this way the surface stays evenly matte.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, many people do. The air-release channels in the 1.6mil adhesive let trapped air escape as you work, so you get far fewer bubbles than with a basic film. You can install dry or wet. Take your time on curves and tuck edges with a little heat. Flat panels like a hood or roof are a fair first project in this color.
Does it come off cleanly later?
It does. When you are ready for a change or a new shade, the film peels away and the adhesive is designed to lift with it instead of staying baked onto the paint. Warming the panel gently first makes removal easier. The factory paint you wrapped stays where it was.
Will it stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat as long as you treat it right. Graphite Black is matte by design and stays that way through normal driving. Shiny spots only appear if the wrap gets waxed, polished or run through a stiff brush wash, all of which press and burnish the surface. Hand washing keeps the whole panel one even, non-reflective tone.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. A small two-door car usually needs around 15m, a mid-size sedan around 18m, and a large SUV or truck closer to 23m. Buy a little extra for mistakes and tricky panels. If you are only doing a roof, hood or accents, a 6m roll often covers it.
