Metallic Black Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Metallic Black matte vinyl gives your car a deep, blacked-out look with no shine bouncing back. The flat finish reads as pure stealth from across the lot, but step closer and a fine metallic flake catches the light and adds quiet depth to the panels. It is dark, moody, and far from a plain flat black.
The film lays over your existing paint and shields it from sun, light scuffs, and the grime of daily driving. You get a fresh matte look without touching the factory coat underneath, and you can take it back off down the road. It is a real color change you can do at home, not a permanent commitment.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Metallic Black matte wrap last?
With good care it holds its flat metallic look for years. The matte finish and the fine flake stay even as long as you keep the film clean and out of constant harsh sun. A car kept in a garage will keep its deep black far longer than one parked outside every day.
Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The Metallic Black film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the hits from sun, dust, and light scuffs so the paint underneath stays sealed. On healthy factory paint it comes off cleanly when you want a change, leaving the original coat as it was.
How is a matte wrap different from a matte respray?
A matte black paint job is one of the priciest and most fragile finishes out there, and a single scratch often means redoing a whole panel. This Metallic Black wrap gives you that same blacked-out flat look for far less, goes on faster, and peels back off later. Your factory paint stays untouched the entire time.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap without ruining it?
This is the big one for matte. Never wax, polish, or machine-buff a Metallic Black wrap, because that rubs shiny spots into the flat finish and you cannot undo them. Hand wash with a matte-safe soap, skip automatic brush washes, and wipe off fuel splashes or bird mess quickly before they set.
Can I install this myself?
Yes. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so the film lets trapped air escape through tiny channels instead of leaving bubbles. That makes Metallic Black far more forgiving for a first-timer. You can run a dry or wet install, and our how-to-wrap guide walks you through each panel.
Does it remove cleanly later?
On sound factory paint, yes. Warm the film with a little heat and the Metallic Black vinyl peels away in strips, taking its adhesive with it. That is what makes a wrap a safe move on a lease or a car you plan to sell back to stock later.
Will the matte finish stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat as long as you care for it right. The matte look only turns shiny where the surface gets polished, waxed, or rubbed hard, so those are the things to avoid. Stick to gentle hand washing and the Metallic Black keeps its even, non-reflective surface across every panel.
How much film do I need for my car?
Our rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. A full small car usually needs around the 18m roll, while a larger SUV or truck leans toward 23m. Partial jobs like a roof, hood, or mirrors fit the 6m roll. Measure your panels and add a little extra for trimming and wrapping around edges.
