A clean gloss wrap is the closest thing to a fresh paint job you can put on at home. This polymeric PVC film lays down with a deep wet shine that catches light the way good paint does, then locks in a smooth mirror-like surface across panels, mirror caps, and trim. The gloss reads rich up close and sharp from across the lot.
It is a color and cosmetic wrap, not a paint job, so the look is reversible. The film sits on top of your factory paint and takes the daily hits of road grit, wash swirls, and sun, which keeps the original finish protected underneath. When you want a change or a clean sale, it comes off and your paint is still there.

Key features
- Painted-on gloss finish: a mirror-gloss topcoat gives the deep wet-paint shine without the cost of a respray.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the gloss topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.
- Easy to keep clean: wipes down and washes like paint, with no special care needed.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a gloss wrap last?
A gloss wrap holds its shine for years when you look after it. Wash off road salt and bird mess promptly and keep harsh chemicals away from the edges. A car that lives in a garage will keep that fresh gloss longer than one parked in full sun and weather every day.
Will a gloss wrap damage my paint or protect it?
It protects it. The film sits over your factory paint and takes the day to day wear instead, so wash swirls, light grit, and sun exposure hit the wrap and not the paint. As long as the paint underneath is sound and clean when you wrap, it stays in the same shape it was in.
Gloss wrap or a respray, which should I get?
A gloss wrap gets you that painted-on shine for a lot less than a respray, and it is reversible. A respray is permanent and can change how the car values out later. The wrap goes on faster, opens up far more color options, and peels off clean when you want the original paint back.
How much film do I need for my car?
The film comes on rolls 1.52m (5ft) wide in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. A motorbike or small touch-up job is fine on the 6m roll. A full small to mid car usually wants the 18m. Larger cars, SUVs, or anyone wanting spare for mistakes should go with the 23m.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. The Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive is air-release, so trapped bubbles push out to the edges instead of getting stuck under the film. That makes it much more forgiving for a first time wrap. You can run a dry or wet install, and a little heat from a heat gun helps it stretch around curves.
Does the gloss wrap remove cleanly?
It does. Warm the film with a heat gun and peel it back slowly at a low angle and it lifts off the panel. The air-release adhesive is made to release cleanly on sound factory paint, so you are left with the original finish rather than a sticky mess.
How do I wash and care for a gloss wrap?
Hand washing keeps the gloss looking its best. Use a pH neutral car shampoo, a soft mitt, and rinse well. Skip harsh solvents and pressure washing close to the seams. Dry it with a soft microfiber so water spots do not dull the shine, and clear off bird mess or sap quickly.
Does the gloss fade over time?
Cared for, the gloss stays deep and bright. Sun is the main thing that dulls any finish over time, so a garage-kept car will hold its shine longer than one baking outside all day. Regular gentle washing and keeping grime off the surface go a long way to keeping it crisp.
