Maize Yellow is a warm golden yellow with the kind of mirror shine that reads like fresh paint from across the lot. It sits between a soft cream-yellow and a bolder sunflower tone, so it looks rich in full sun and stays clean and bright under cloud or street lights. The gloss face throws back a sharp reflection that follows every curve of your panels, which is exactly what makes a wrap like this turn heads at a meet or a stop light.
Beyond the color, this film does real work. It lays a polymeric PVC layer over your factory paint and takes the daily hits of grit, light scratches, sun, and wash swirl so the paint underneath stays protected. When you want a change later, it comes off and gives you back the original finish. You get a fresh painted-on look now and your factory paint kept safe for the road ahead.

Key features
- Painted-on gloss finish: a mirror-gloss topcoat gives the deep wet-paint shine without the cost of a respray.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the gloss topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.
- Easy to keep clean: wipes down and washes like paint, with no special care needed.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Maize Yellow gloss wrap last?
With normal care and regular washing it holds its gloss and color for years. Maize Yellow is a bright warm tone, so a car kept in a garage or under cover when parked will keep that deep shine longer than one left in full sun every day. Heat, harsh chemicals, and rough washing are what shorten any wrap, so treat it gently and it rewards you.
Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The Maize Yellow film sits on top of your factory paint and acts as a shield against grit, light scratches, sun, and wash swirl. As long as your paint is healthy and well stuck down before you wrap, the film guards the surface underneath instead of harming it. That is one of the main reasons people wrap rather than paint.
Gloss wrap or a full respray, which makes more sense?
A respray in this kind of yellow is costly, takes your car off the road for days, and is permanent. A Maize Yellow gloss wrap costs far less, goes on faster, gives you the same painted-on shine, and keeps your original paint safe underneath. If you ever want to switch colors or sell, you peel it off and the factory finish is still there. For most owners the wrap is the smarter call.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m, and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or a partial job like a hood and roof works from the 6m roll, a full small to mid car usually needs around the 18m roll, and a large car, SUV, or truck wanting full coverage with extra for mistakes is safest on the 23m roll. Always add a little spare for curves and learning, since Maize Yellow panels need to match cleanly.
Can I install Maize Yellow myself?
Yes. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the glue is channeled to push air out instead of trapping bubbles. That makes it far more forgiving for a first wrap. You can run a dry install or a wet install depending on what you are comfortable with. Take your time on the mirrors and bumpers, use heat to set the curves, and follow the how-to-wrap guide on this page.
Does the wrap come off cleanly later?
When you are ready for a change, the film is made to be removed. Warm the panels with gentle heat and peel the Maize Yellow film back slowly at a low angle. On healthy factory paint it lifts away and leaves the original finish underneath, which is the whole point of wrapping over painting. Going slow keeps any adhesive residue to a minimum.
How do I wash and care for a Maize Yellow wrap?
Hand wash with a soft mitt and a mild car soap, then rinse and dry with a clean microfiber. Skip automatic brush washes and harsh solvents, since those wear any gloss film down faster. Get bird droppings, fuel splashes, and bug splatter off quickly so they do not sit on the surface. A bright yellow shows dust sooner than a dark color, so a quick regular rinse keeps Maize Yellow looking its best.
Will the gloss fade over time?
The film is built to hold its shine, and Maize Yellow keeps its warm bright tone well with good care. The biggest factor is sun. Constant direct heat and UV are hard on any colored surface, so a garage-kept or covered car holds the gloss noticeably longer. Regular gentle washing and quick cleanup of harsh spills also help the finish stay sharp.
