Metallic Blue Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl

Metallic Blue lands somewhere between deep ocean and gunmetal. The matte base kills the glare and gives you a flat, stealth finish, while the fine metallic flake underneath catches the light just enough to show depth as the car moves. In shade it reads as a moody dark blue. In sun the flake wakes up and the panel comes alive. No mirror shine, no plastic gloss, just a soft flat blue that looks custom from across the parking lot.
This is a color and cosmetic wrap built on polymeric PVC vinyl. It lays a fresh layer of Metallic Blue over your existing panels and covers the factory paint underneath, taking the daily hits from sun, light grit and washing instead of the paint. When you want a change later, it comes off and the original finish is still there.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Metallic Blue matte wrap last?
With good care this wrap holds its flat Metallic Blue look for years. Sun, heat and rough washing are what wear any wrap down over time, so a car that lives in a garage will keep its color and matte finish noticeably longer than one parked outside every day. Treat it well and it stays looking fresh for a long stretch.
Will the wrap damage my factory paint?
No. The opposite is true. The Metallic Blue film sits on top of your paint and takes the daily abuse from sun, light grit and washing so the factory finish underneath stays protected. As long as your original paint is healthy and well bonded when you wrap, the film shields it rather than harming it.
Why pick a matte wrap over a matte respray?
A matte respray is one of the most expensive and unforgiving paint jobs you can buy, and a single scuff often means redoing a whole panel. Metallic Blue vinyl gives you that same flat factory-killer look for far less, it goes on faster, and it lifts off when you want a change. Your real paint stays untouched underneath the whole time.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?
This is the one thing matte buyers must get right. Never wax, polish or machine-buff Metallic Blue. Any of those will leave shiny spots and ruin the flat finish for good. Hand wash only, with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush washes, and wipe off fuel splashes or bird mess quickly before they sit. Gentle hand care is all this film needs to stay evenly matte.
Can I install this wrap myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The Henkel solvent-based air-release adhesive has tiny channels built in that let trapped air escape, so you get far fewer bubbles and can reposition the film as you work. You can run it dry or wet. Flat panels like a hood or roof are very doable at home. Deep curves and bumpers take more patience and heat, so take your time on those.
Does the wrap come off cleanly later?
Yes. When you are ready for a new look, the Metallic Blue film peels away and, on healthy factory paint, leaves the original finish behind. A little gentle heat helps it lift smoothly. That clean removal is the big advantage over paint, since you are never locked into the color.
Will the matte finish stay flat or go shiny over time?
It stays flat as long as you care for it the matte way. Metallic Blue only turns glossy in spots if it gets waxed, polished or scrubbed with a buffer, since those press oils and shine into the surface. Stick to gentle hand washing with a matte-safe soap and the finish stays evenly matte across every panel.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or full sedan usually needs around 18m, while a larger SUV or truck is closer to 23m. The 6m roll is handy for a roof, hood, mirrors or accent pieces. If you are doing a full wrap, order a little extra so you have margin for curves and mistakes.
