Metallic Green Grey Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Metallic Green Grey lands in that moody middle ground between deep forest and gunmetal, with a fine metallic shimmer worked into a fully flat, non-reflective matte face. In daylight it reads as a smoky military green. Under cloud or shade it pulls cooler toward grey. There is zero gloss bouncing back, so the shape of the car does the talking instead of the shine.
This is a color and cosmetic wrap, not paint protection film. It lays a tough polymeric PVC skin over your factory paint, so the panels underneath take the daily hits from grit, sun, light scuffs and wash swirl instead of the original coat. When you want a change later, it comes back off and the paint it was hiding is still there.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a Metallic Green Grey matte wrap last?
With good care it holds its flat finish for years. A car kept in a garage and hand washed will keep its smoky green grey look far longer than one left baking in the sun and run through brush washes every week. Heat, harsh chemicals and abrasive washing are what age any matte wrap fastest, so gentle treatment is the real difference maker. We do not quote a fixed year figure because real life depends on how the car is stored and washed.
Will this wrap damage my paint or actually protect it?
It protects it. The vinyl sits on top as a sacrificial layer, so road grit, UV, light scuffs and wash swirl hit the Green Grey film instead of your factory coat. The paint underneath stays sealed away from daily wear. As long as your original paint is healthy and fully cured when it goes on, the wrap shields it rather than harming it.
Metallic Green Grey wrap or a matte respray, which makes more sense?
A wrap is the easier call for most people. It costs less than a quality matte paint job, goes on far faster, and it is reversible when you want your original color back. Matte paint is notoriously expensive to spray and very hard to repair, since you cannot just buff a scratch out of flat paint without leaving a shiny mark. With this wrap you get the stealth Green Grey look while keeping the factory paint safe underneath.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?
This is the most important thing to get right. Never wax, polish or machine-buff a matte wrap. Those all add shine and will leave glossy patches that wreck the flat Green Grey finish. Hand wash only, with a soap made for matte surfaces, and skip automatic brush washes. Rinse off road salt and dirt before they build up, and spot clean fuel splashes, bird mess and bug splatter quickly so they do not stain the matte face.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, plenty of DIY installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the channels in the glue let trapped air escape as you squeegee, which means fewer bubbles and room to reposition. You can install it dry or wet. Take your time on curves and recesses, use gentle heat to shape it, and work clean. Big single panels are the easiest place to start.
Does the wrap come off cleanly later?
In most cases yes. Warm the panel gently and peel the film back at a low angle and it lifts away, with any adhesive left behind cleaning up with a proper adhesive remover. Clean removal depends on the paint being in good shape underneath, which is exactly why people use a wrap to keep that factory Green Grey paint protected in the first place.
Will it stay flat matte or go shiny over time?
It stays matte if you care for it the matte way. Shiny spots come from waxing, polishing, buffing or rubbing too hard in one area, not from normal aging. Keep abrasive products and machine pads away from it, hand wash gently, and the flat non-reflective Green Grey face holds its even look across the whole car.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a few accent panels like a roof, hood or mirrors fit on a 6m roll, a full compact or sedan usually wants the 18m, and larger vehicles or a first-time install where you want spare for mistakes are safer on the 23m. When in doubt size up, since a clean Green Grey wrap needs extra for wrapping edges and recovering from a misstep.
