Metallic Phantom Shadow Black Blue Matte Car Wrap | Polymeric Vinyl
🎉 Free Shipping! Ready to ship
Metallic Phantom Shadow Black Blue sits in that quiet space between a blacked-out car and a deep ocean blue. In low light it reads as near-black. Catch it under sun or street lamps and the metallic flake wakes up, pulling a cool blue glow across the panel. The finish stays flat and non-reflective the whole time, so you get the depth of color without any of the shine. It is a true stealth look that still has something to say up close.
This is a color change wrap, not paint. The polymeric PVC film lays over your factory paint and locks it away from sun, light scuffs, road grime and daily wear. When you want a fresh look later, it peels back off and your original finish is still there underneath. No respray, no permanent commitment, just a deep matte black-blue you can live with for years and change your mind on whenever you like.

Key features
- Flat matte finish: a non-reflective topcoat gives the factory-flat, no-shine look that paint cannot match without a costly custom job.
- Hides minor flaws: the matte surface softens light, so it disguises small swirls and imperfections instead of spotlighting them like gloss does.
- Air-release adhesive: built-in air channels push bubbles out, so the film lays flat and you can reposition as you work.
- Conforms to curves: the polymeric PVC stretches over mirrors, bumpers and body lines for a smooth, seamless wrap.
- Protects the paint underneath: the wrap takes the daily wear while your factory paint stays sealed and original.
- Removable: peels off cleanly later with heat, so you can change the look or go back to stock.
- UV and weather resistant: the topcoat holds up to sun and rain across a -30 to +140 degree range.

Frequently asked questions
How long will a Phantom Shadow Black Blue wrap last?
With normal care it holds its deep matte black-blue look for years. A car that sleeps in a garage stays out of harsh sun and rain, so the finish lasts noticeably longer than one parked outside every day. Hand washing and quick clean-up of any mess go a long way too. We do not quote a fixed number of years because real life depends heavily on your climate and how the car is stored.
Will the wrap damage my paint, or actually protect it?
It protects it. The film sits over your factory paint and takes the daily hits instead, so light scratches, sun fade, bird mess and road grime land on the wrap rather than the paint underneath. As long as your original paint is healthy and well stuck down before install, the wrap shields it the whole time it is on the car.
Is a matte wrap better than a matte paint job?
For most people, yes. A matte respray is one of the most expensive paint finishes you can order, and it is hard and costly to repair if it gets damaged. This Phantom Shadow Black Blue wrap costs far less, goes on faster, protects the factory paint you already have, and comes off when you want a change. A matte paint job is permanent. The wrap is not.
How do I wash and care for a matte wrap?
This is the one thing to get right. Never wax, polish or machine-buff a matte wrap. Those create shiny spots and ruin the flat Phantom Shadow look. Hand wash only with a matte-safe soap, skip the automatic brush car washes, and rinse well. If you get fuel splash, bird mess or bug splatter, wipe it off quickly so it does not sit and stain. That is the whole routine.
Can I install this myself?
Yes, plenty of home installers do. The film uses a Henkel solvent-based acrylic air-release adhesive, so the tiny channels in the glue let trapped air escape and help you push out bubbles as you go. It works dry or wet. Flat panels like doors and a roof are very doable for a careful first-timer. Deep curves and bumpers take more patience, so take your time or split those with a local installer.
Does it remove cleanly later?
It does. When you are ready for a change, warm the film gently and peel it back at a low angle and it lifts away without taking your paint with it. Because Phantom Shadow Black Blue is a wrap and not paint, removal just returns you to your original factory finish underneath.
Will it stay flat matte or eventually go shiny?
It stays flat as long as you treat it like a matte finish. The shine people sometimes see comes from waxing, polishing or buffing, which a matte wrap should never get. Stick to hand washing with a matte-safe soap and the non-reflective stealth look holds. Rubbing one spot hard or letting harsh chemicals sit on it can burnish it, so go gentle.
How much film do I need for my car?
The rolls are 1.52m (5ft) wide and come in 6m, 18m and 23m lengths. As a rough guide, a small car or a set of accent panels suits the 18m roll, while a full sedan or SUV usually needs the 23m roll to cover everything with enough left for mistakes and recuts. The 6m roll is great for a roof, mirrors, trim or a small project. When in doubt, size up so you are not short mid-job.
